Ever since he was a small boy, Dave has had dreams of running his own fish and chips parlour in Southern Belgium. So naturally he ended up playing guitar and bass in a band called Juno-2... who currently have no plans to conquer the world's fish and chips market. Possibly.

Dave has been in Juno-2 with Tom since the beginning when it was the rather tragically-named Orpheus. Back then, of course, (which was at least, oh, two years ago)Dave had barely mastered the clumsy art of rhythm guitar so when Orpheus took to the stage for their first gig he hid at the back trying to look as unassuming as possible while concentrating on what the next chord was going to be. Well, after an especially traumatic experience in a Steve Vai and Joe Satriani covers band, Dave had begun to get the hang of the altogether baser skills of, er, bass playing as well as honing his guitar technique into what has been reffered to as a 'mad screaming wazz' style of playing.

As he is co-writer of some of Juno-2's songs, Dave will insist on singing backing vocals (and even lead vocals occasionally) on some of the tunes. This is still the case despite the fact that his singing has been described as sounding 'like a drunken man shouting for his last round at the bar'... When playing gigs, Dave is now considered to be Juno-2's designated spasm artiste and much fun and amusement can be had by placing bets on when Dave will do one of his 'little spasms'.

Dave's musical tastes are many and varied and he always tries to be as arty and pretentious as possible when appraising any new music that he hears, but it is fair to say that he is mainly influenced by Sonic Youth, REM, Mogwai, Dinosaur Jr., godspeed you black emperor and Radiohead. He is also not averse to listening to any wibbly wierdness produced by the Orb, Orbital or Boards of Canada. He claims that everyone should know at least two Neil Young songs to meditate on in times of stress...

His other hobbies include fingernail curling, cheese grating and feeling ill; his favourite colour is green.

Dave bears a passing resemblance to Obi-wan Kenobe. But it only works with the hood.

welcome to dave's fantasy pedalcoming soon... a whole new way to experience dave... with links, pics and other cool stuff
