Juno-2 have two forthcoming gigs. On Sunday the 13th of August they play at the Cumberland Arms in Byker, Newcastle with another local band - Skloot. This gig will start at 8.00pm and will be �2 on the door. This'll be their first gig together for ages now that everyone is back from holiday etc. Come along. It will be fun and they will also be playing a couple of new songs [probably].
Juno-2 are also planning on playing a gig in late september at the Royal Park in Leeds and one in October at Fibbers in York. Keep checking the site for details.
Juno-2's gig at the black swan in newcastle, scheduled for the 22nd of june, has been cancelled. They are currently trying to arrange another date at the same venue. Their gig with venus in furs has been put back due to that band having a change of line up. They should be ready to gig together in july or august.
More details about all of the gigs can be found on the gigs page. The gig at silksworth sports complex in sunderland on saturday the 17th was fun. Despite some initial stress which came about because the drum kit which had been hired for the event didn't turn up until minutes before Juno-2 were due on stage... However, it was all set up on time and the sun shone and the crowd applauded.. you can't really ask for more than that. If you would like to get on our mailing list to be informed of upcoming events as we arrange them then please mail us. older stuff Juno-2 have recently played a support slot for Angelica on the last night of their uk tour at newcastle university students union. They are also hoping to gig with venus in furs in Newcastle on the 28th of June (t.b.c). Details of these and all forthcoming gigs can be found on the band's gigs page. Despite a typically enthusiastic performance, Juno-2 came third in the first round of the Fibbers battle of the bands competition in york. It was the audience-based vote which did us in - being an out of town band didn't help. Still, it was an enjoyable evening all told and the other two bands played really well. We were particularly
impressed with the overall winners on the night the frame. They are also busy sending off their demo cd to various record companies. Juno-2 are looking forward to the summer when they can hopefully spend some more time gigging and preparing new material which they have been working on for a while. They are also planning to record a live ep and work on the katywithout project which they are involved in.
On Wednesday the 23rd of August Juno-2 are playing a gig at the Waterfront Cafe in Whitley Bay. This is free but is invitation only! This cannot be stressed enough. If you want to go then please mail us.
