Faris Greyweirs “Hotaru Watagawa 'z!' pz[”
Faris is a girl, but prefers to wear the male version of the Team Rocket
outfit. This is because she's very well-known as a girl (Sami Hill is a
fake name), and prefers to be thought of as a boy when dealing with TR
affairs. She's rather serious, and can be depressing, but has a dry sense
of humor and will cheer up if the circumstances are right. She prefers
to be a pessimist, because her philosophy is that if you're always expecting
bad things to happen, you're ready for them when they do, and if good things
happen, then you can be happy that they did. She is a graduate from Pokémon
Tech, and has all eight badges. However, she feels she's not ready to enter
the Pokémon League because there are other things she wants to do
before becoming a Pokémon trainer full-time, since she's only 18
years old. She wants to try lots of different things, which is part of
the reason why she joined Team Rocket.
Faris' main Pokémon is a Kadabra, which she nicknamed Batts. (She nicknames all her Pokémon.) She does not have a set team of Pokémon, since she prefers to work with all her Pokémon until they are at a satisfactory level, but during the first part of Touch and Go, her team is composed of Batts, a Clefairy named Usa-chan, a Dratini named Utena, a Flareon named Hikaru, a Vaporeon named Umi, and a Jolteon named Fuu. It should also be mentioned that Faris has a psychic link with Batts, which enables her to speak with all types of Pokémon. This is because Batts automatically translates what Pokémon say for Faris. The reason why Faris doesn't like people is because of a disturbed childhood. Although she was born into a rich family on Cinnabar Island, her parents never payed very much attention to her because they were too busy with their own lives. Therefore, she was raised by nursemaids who only took care of her because it was their job. Lucky for Faris, she had an aunt who loved her dearly. After her aunt, Lenna Inverse, realized that Faris' mother (Lenna's sister) and father weren't taking very good care of Faris, she offered to take care of her. Martina, Faris' mother, protested this at first since Lenna's a reknowned Pokémon breeder and trainer, and she thought having Faris around would just be a bother, but Lenna insisted. Martina finally gave in, and said it was all right. So, at age 3, Faris went to live with her aunt Lenna, who lived at a house south of Pallet Town and north of Cinnabar Island. Being that Lenna Inverse is a reknowned breeder/trainer, she has a great deal of property surrounding her house, which she used for free space for her Pokémon to roam in. Faris grew up knowing far more about Pokémon than the normal child because of Lenna teaching her all she could about Pokémon; this is where Faris' love of Pokémon came from. Also, if Lenna had to go on trips around the world, she would always bring Faris so she wouldn't have to be alone. When she turned eight, Lenna decided to give Faris her own Pokémon for her birthday; this Pokémon was an Abra. (Lenna figured that an Abra wouldn't be able to hurt Faris much if she wasn't able to control it, since its only ability is Teleport.) Faris loved her Abra, and worked hard (with help from Lenna) to train it so it could evolve into Kadabra. (Yes, this is Batts. Faris only named him when he evolved.) However, no matter how hard she tried, Abra wouldn't evolve. This went on until Faris was 10 years old, when Lenna died... Lenna was murdered, and Faris was the only witness. The exact details afterwards I choose to withhold, but I will say that because of that event, Faris hates the color red (even though her eyes are red), and she ran away. While running away, she sprained her ankle, and might have been killed if her Abra hadn't been following her, and teleported her to the safety of the hospital on Cinnabar Island. While Faris was unconscious after her ordeal, Abra stayed by her side, no matter how much the doctors tried to take him away; eventually, they gave up and let him stay. During this, Abra entered Faris' mind, and they had a mental discussion, wherein Faris named him Batts. It was here that Batts started to grow feelings deeper than friendship towards Faris, and the new understanding and link he and Faris shared caused him to finally evolve. When Faris came out of her coma, her Batts was a Kadabra. After this, though, Faris disliked humans. When her parents enrolled her into Pokémon Tech at the age of 11, this dislike intensified because she didn't make friends very easily, and most of the kids there made fun of her for letting Batts stay outside a Pokéball. She did make friends, eventually, but they were all outside of Pokémon Tech. One particular annoyance during her years at Pokémon Tech was a certain boy named James who decided he had a crush on her and had to have her as his girlfriend. (Yes, it's that James.) Faris dislikes stupid people more than anything, so of course she wasn't exactly thrilled to be the object of his affection. The fact that she hates the color red and dislikes red roses made James' quest even more annoyingly futile. When she finally graduated from Pokémon Tech, she was glad to finally get away from him. However, she really had nothing ahead of her. Yes, she could join the Pokémon League, but she didn't feel satisfied with her life. After all, learning how to battle from textbooks is a pale comparison to actually battling, which she learned from Lenna. Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket, had had his eye on her since she joined Pokémon Tech, and took this opportunity to invite her to join Team Rocket. Faris had heard several stories about the deeds of Team Rocket, but she didn't really care that much, and curiosity drove her to check it out. She eventually joined, but did not immediately go out on missions; she requested that Giovanni let her catch more Pokémon, so she could feel comfortable with battling against other trainers, and Giovanni let her. So, for three more years, Faris travelled the world catching Pokémon and earning real badges as physical proof that she had the talent to enter the Pokémon League. Within those three years, she caught and raised 106 Pokémon, and gained all eight badges. Name: Faris Greyweirs
