The University of South Carolina

This page is dedicated to my undergraduate and hopefully graduate alma matter. The University has had a great impact on my life. I don't know if I can explain how much I of my life I owe to this school, but if you ask the federal government, they will put a nice round figure on it for you due to my ever increasing debt to them in the form of student loans. Well enough joking on how far in debt I am going to be when I get out of school, it is on to paying tribute to my my beloved school.

I have had many great times here at the University. From staying at Bates House (AKA: The Hilton of Freshman dorms) my freshman year all the way till living in the East Quad my senior year. I can honestly say that I have made it through four years of eating the same old boring campus food without any major injuries. Well, there is that constant urge to hurl every time I think about what I am going to eat for dinner, but that is another story altogether. I will never forget this place and, if I had my way, I would never leave. I would just stay in college for the rest of my life. What can I say, I love studying and class. Yeah right. Actually, I dig only being responsible for homework and termpapers. It beats the heck out of getting a real job in this crazy world. Actually, I do plan to get out of this school, even if they have to kick me out and lock the door behind me, and become extremly successful. Well, now that I have talked about My Experiences here, I guess I should talk a little bit about my school.

The University of South Carolina was founded in 1801 and is the only university in the state of South Carolina that has a Law School. It is a beautiful campus in the heart of Columbia, South Carolina. Our Mascot, as you probably know already know is the Gamecock. That is right, the dreaded fighting chicken. Not afraid yet. Well, come to the Brice (Williams Brice Stadium) on a Saturday during football season and listen to more than eighty thousand fans shouting GO COCKS and you might respect the fighting chicken a little bit more.

Our Sports teams are also very competetive nationally. Our football team, lead by coach Lou Holtz, won the Outback bowl this season and our baseball team, managed by Ray Tanner, came within one game of going to the college world series last year. They are on pace to repeat their excellent season last year this season. They are ranked in the top ten and they are looking dominate right now.

Well, I wish I had more things to add to this page right now, but I don't at the moment. Keep checking back because I am going to update with some pictures and some more information about my beloved university. :)
