Neon Lights Go Out and We Go Out With Them PART 3 by V-Star ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I awake lying on my back gazing at the stars. It's early morning, about 1:00 AM to be precise. I am lonley and I don't want to move, but I need to. I rise and wake up my Arcanine. He goes into his pokeball and I baord my cycle. This mission I am traveling to....it is not one of greed or lust, no, it is one of curiostiy and discovery. I am willing to get up this early for something far more interesting and practical then sleep. The journey is begining again....for different reasons then the previous times. Upon reaching my destination, my cycle stops and I get off. Hiding it in a clump of bushes and attaching hte elctronic lock, I head down a hill with my Rocket "R" symbol covered by a loose purple jacket. Always liked this place. Havn't seen it in years. My location, Cerulean City. My mission, a talk with Misty Kasumi Waterflower, assuming that's still her name. As I enter the gym of Cerulean, I notice a high diving board. Atop it, is a tall, slender young woman, who has orange hair and a ponytail in the back of her head. I smile secretly. It's her. "Hault!" she shouts, "Who goes there!?" Immediatly, I remove my jacket in one swift motion of my arm, my Rocket symbol standing revealed. "A challenger! Now fight!" I shout, drawing back my arm in a defensive pose. She leaps gracefully form the board, in a perfect dive which I am sure, some olympic athletes would envy. Surfacing and flipping quickly and splashlessley, she leaps to the edge of the pool and withdraws a pokeball. "STARMIE, GO!!" I smirk yet again. She hasn't changed in stratagey, however, I must admit, she has become an attractive young woman. "MR. MIME, GO!!" I shout, releasing a pokeball and casting it to the floor. A large purple and pink creature appears, ready for combat. I know I can comand it without giving any direct orders, so I decide to wait and see if Misty recognizes me. God I hope she doesn't. "STARMIE, Bubblebeam!" she exclaims, causing her pokemon to spray large bubbles at mine. I laugh, the same cold, evil, laugh that I have used for years. I causually raise my right hand so it is at eye level and snap my fingers. Instantaneously, Mr. Mime springs into action, glowing with purple and gold light. My signal was for a Phychic attack. Within seconds, Misty's Starmie is lying helpless on the floor, center jewel glittering with pain, flashing as a signal to it's trainer to make it stop. Misty does so, and runs over, calling it back. Then, withdrawing another pokeball, she calls out: "SEADRA, GO!!" I smirk and cooly produce another. I know she will loose, I can feel it. Throwing the pokeball, I call out again, in a voice that she seemingly has heard before: "IFI, GO!!" causing a small silvery purple dog to come from the pokeball, showered in white light. She attempts to beat me anyways. "SEADRA, WATER GUN!! KNOCK IT OUT!!" she bellows, her chest heaving with exertion. She was always into it. Snapping my fingers, I cause the Ifi to power up it's most powerful attack: "METRONOME". It's mind can be heard, by me at least, whrring as it selects an attack. Suddenly, a large beam of light comes through the roof, shattering the glass overhead, and shooting down into my Ifi's body. I realize, it has made a crucial mistake, a thunder attack. Before I can stop it, Ifi fires a large bolt of electricity at Misty's pokemon, knocking it out. Having not used up all the energy, it decides to kill her. "Ifi! Stop!" I shout, but it is beyond reason. Kind of like myself. Before I can stop myslef, I have rushed over in front of Misty and protected her with a large sheild, repeling my pokemon's energy, strinking itself, instead of her. I can afford to hurt my own self and my team, but not her. She didn't purposly subject herself to this. I help her up, closing the sheild. She blushes. "Th-thank you....you saved my life..." "All in a day's work, Misty." I say, her hand clutching mine. She blushes a deeper shade of red. Then, looking into my eyes, the revelation is clear, she knows who I am. "Y-you....what....you're still alive?" "Yes. I am obviously in perfect health. How've you been, Misty?" I ask, as I realize that she's put her other hand on my shoulder. I blush but it's just small enough that she can't tell under my visor. She's still locking her eyes with mine. "I'm doing great....but....you...you....oh god....you're a Rocket...." "Yes. What did you expect?" "Not this, I can tell you." "Well, what would Ash do if he was here?" "He'd try to exterminate any Rockets." she says, fixing me with a slight glare. I don't flinch. I don't care that much about what other's think anymore. "Then go ahead. Kill me." I say, cooly. She reaches up and removes my hat, and visor. She shakes her head. "No....god....it is you....you...still have the same eyes..." "So?" I ask, confused. She's not making any sense. Wait...what if she really does feel for me..... "They're gorgeous...." she says, putting her right hand to my face, while the other rests on my shoulder. I blink, she smiles. "T-Thank you....Misty...I....What?" I ask, as she puts her head on my right shoulder. I blush a little, but still, I hide it. I can't let her see that I still have feelings, as stupid as that sounds. "I've missed you..." she countinues, wrapping her arm around my neck. I am sweating now, I am sure of it. She leans up, and I feel her breath on my lips....her lips are so close....to close.....I can't move.... "I missed you so much....I was crying....I wanted you to come back...." she says seductivly. Our noses bump, and I am nervous. "M-Misty....this isn't right...what about Ash?" "Forget him, he's a jerk. I don't care about him." "B-but, you two are supposed to be best friends!" I stutter, surprised. Misty shakes her head, not diverting her gaze. "I said Forget him....I love you Gary..." Her mentioning my name in that sentence makes me shiver. I close my eyes and feel something bruch my lips. I open my eyes. She is kissing me. END OF PART 3
