Introduction Cookies Remover
can clean Internet
Explorer temporary internet files, cookies
, history links of web sites, typed
URLs on address bar and related entries of index.dat files. It
also can clean typed words on Run
screen, temporary
files[Windows\temp][user temp] and history
links of
documents Do you want to keep your privacy after surfing on the internet? Especially those visited sites and words on the IE address bar. Moreover, words on Run screen and files you have opened before. This program clears the tracks in few seconds. Each button shows
you the function what it can do. Or you want to have simplified
process, select those listed items that you need and click on "Clear
Selected" or "Clear Not Selected" button. This is pretty useful to let
users easily finish their jobs.
Below is the
functions of those buttons. They will execute clearing afer you click. Clear Selected = Execute clearing for selected items Clear Not Selected = Execute clearing for not selected items IE History Links of Web Sites = Internet Explorer adds all visited Urls to History. Entries of index.dat file are changed IE Temp Internet Files = Some temporary files are stored while you are surfing on the internet, include graphics and html files. Entries of index.dat file are also changed IE Cookies = Track information of your surfing, such as times of visiting web sites. Entries of index.dat file are changed IE Typed URLs = Typed Urls on the address bar (If browser is already opened and you make change to address bar, Cookies Remover does not get updated information. The best result is closing all opened browsers before execute this command.) History Links Of Doc = History links of documents. When you open a file, Windows will create a shortcut on startup --> documents Temporary files = Temporary files under [Windows\temp] and [user temp] in some operating systems. [Windows\temp] is a favourite folder where applications want to store temporary files. Another favourite folder is [user temp] in multi-user systems Typed Words On Run = Words that you typed on the Run screen (take effect when Windows starts next time)
Settings In order to have automatic process without opening Cookies Remover, it can execute clearing every time Windows starts up or shuts down. 1.) Make a check
to "Execute Clearing When Windows Starts" or "Execute Clearing When
Windows Shuts down". 2.) Select option "Clear All", "Clear Selected", "Clear Not Selected" or "Custom". Option "Custom" will bring you more options. Lastly, "Load when Windows starts" will be checked automatically. When application starts next time, it is minimized to system tray. If you firstly
run this application and don't want to end it after closing the main
screen, try to make a check to "Show icon in tray", a
hammer icon will show in tray at once.
About option "Style of XP menu", menu likes XP style to show when right-click "hammer" icon in system tray. You can turn it off if you like the original look. If your operating
system is Windows NT, Ccy Cookies Remover assumes those
paths(stored
temporary files, temporary internet files, cookies and history links
of documents) are not changed by anyone(Administrator) or those paths
not assigned to different locations for logon users. This means Cookies
Remover only checks fixed directories. Even though Cookies
Remover
fails to find preceding directories, it will skip the checks and

I tested on my PIII machine, task was completed in few seconds when the folder had 1610 files. Old machines must need more time to do so. Please be patient!
