AN INTRODUCTION: Doctor Who is about a time/space traveler whose time machine is disguised as a 1960's Police Box. The sci-fi show debuted in 1963 on BBC tv and was canceled in 1989. In between these years, there were 7 actors that played the Doctor with many campanions to help him against all the numerous and deadly enemies he encountered. Also, FOX made a Doctor Who movie in 1996 but unfornately it didn't do well in the US. However, there are many new books being printed, new audio adventures being recorded, and a flood of merchandise keeps Doctor Who from disappearing.

  Many fans of the sci-fi series are not even aware of many of the merchandise that exists. Since most of the merchandise is made in the UK, they are not available in many places. The following are places that the Doctor Who fans can finally get Who related items! If you are interested in any Doctor Who item, email me and I'll give a review on it if I have the item.
  
  • Who North AmericaIn my view, the #1 place to get Who merchandise on the web including Dapol action figures,watches,keyrings,special DW spin-off videos,audio adventures,magnets,misc. Also, their prices are very reasonable.
  • 800-TrekkerThe 2nd best place to find Who stuff. Although they are kind of pricey, they carry DW mugs,the 1999 calendar,the CD-Rom game, and videos(but I would go to 800.com for videos because they are much cheaper.)
  • Larry's Comic Book StoreThis Chicago based store has many of the Target novels,DW comics,2 different DW puzzles,and other various items.
  • The Who Shop InternationalAny kind of Who merchandise can be found here in this UK mail order shop.

    DOCTOR WHO MERCHANDISE REVIEWS/COMMENTS

    The Choice- A new Doctor Who spin off audio adventure from BBV that features the return of K9 & his Mistress (Romana). The debut story is pretty good with the Mistress (Lalla Ward) wanting to leave her life of luxury but they discover a society of diseased cave dwellers and all is not what it seems. K9 & his Mistress sounds exactly the same as in the orginal DW stories. Great story line makes this CD a good start. 60 mins. Available at Who North America

    Doctor Who Magnets - High quality metal magnets on a Tardis card background. 12 varieties including one of each Doctor,Daleks,Cybermen,K9,misc. Very nice glossy 3" magnets. Available at Who North America

    Doctor Who Destiny of the Doctors CD-ROM game which is a first person shooter/puzzle game. The graphics seem dated compared to the games today but nice to play if you are the DW fan. The video segments of the Master are very enjoyable and were shot just for the game. Also, the 600 entry database of text,stills,audio,and video are worth the purchase alone. Although I had some problems playing it on my P200, they were minor. Available at 800-Trekker
