When your life is treating you wrong
All you get are criticisms for mistakes
No recognition for a job well done
Count your blessings
When you lay down and prepare for sleep
And all you can think of are resentments
For the people who have done you wrong
Force yourself to count your blessings
When it seems like you've accomplished nothing
There is no end to your pain and trouble
For all your fight, there is no reward
Count your blessings
When you are forced to take an action
You don't particularly care for
And there is no way around it
Count your blessings
Life, health, food on the table, clothes on your back
Loving family, mental stability, creativity
Those are just a few of the blessings
I can thank the Divine for each and every day
