Men growing out short hair

This longer layered style is great for growing hair into a longer look. However, note that the natural wave in the hair helps here. If you have dead straight hair and want this look, then consider a body perm.

This Jim Carrey cut is quite similar to the first female picture on the growing styles page, illustrating what I mean by some styles being acceptable to all sexes (or with slight variations).

Neil Morrisey, the UK comedian went from below shoulder length hair to this shorter style - not the other way around. However, note the hair still covers the ears and the layers on top are long. Great if you want to grow it longer too.
