Well, we've got the perfect fix with the Los Angeles based band Jugg's Revenge. Jugg's Revenge has done it again, offering you 14 new tracks of unrelenting hard core punk rock that only Jugg's Revenge knows how to churn out. Their latest release "Pearly Gates" is the album we have all been waiting for. "Pearly Gates" is Jugg's Revenge's third release on Nitro Records and the follow up to last year's "Just Joined". Jugg's Revenge has been blasting the greater Los Angeles area punk scene since the days before it was safe to be a punk. They've weathered the LA Glam scene and the Seattle grunge invasion with their hard core roots firmly intact. They were putting on the only local shows because punk was not allowed in local clubs. Jugg's Revenge has emerged as one of the area's most prominent and hardworking bands. A close listen to "Pearly Gates" will reveal the not so subtle impact upon them by the LA scene of the early 80's. Jugg's Revenge's discography goes a bit like these; Jugg's Revenge's debut album was released in 1990 on Hard Records, called " Unstuck In Time." Following that release was the "Out of Beer, Out of Tune and Out of Control" 7-inch in 1991 also on Hard Records. "Its Lonely at the Bottom" came out in 1992 on Hard Records, then later re-issued in 1994 on BYO Records. "Breaking Worlds" 7-inch split with Strung Out was released in 1993 on Fearless followed by "Elimination" in 1993 on Hard/BYO Records. They also did a split 7inch with Lagwagon in 1994 followed by "13 Kiddie Favorites" in 1995 on Hard/BYO Records. Next in line was "Image Is Everything" in 1996, their first release on Nitro Records. They did a split 7-inch with Heckle in 1997 out on Hopeless Records. 1998 saw their second release on Nitro Records titled "Just Joined". With this latest offering "Pearly Gates" results in 14 concise works of drudgery in aggravated social commentary. Each cut demonstrates quality musicianship; well-weighted lyrics combined with totally pissed off, punk rock abandon. Jugg's Revenge crammed the entire CD full of dice-bombing power riffs, bounding bass lines, precise fits of drumwork and lots of gutsy hollering. Try some! It Works! Their intense live shows have earned them respect at home in LA as well as the rest of the world. Jugg's Revenge will be doing the tour de force in support of their latest release, "Pearly Gates".
