Child of Light Child of Dark Chapter Three ------------------------------- The doorbell rang to Takiru’s apartment. “I’ll get it.” Sasha yelled and ran to the door. She opened the door and a small smile was shown on her lips. “Hey, Sari.” Sari returned the smile. “Hey, is Taki home?” She asked “Yea come in.” Sasha moved out of the away from the door. Sari came in and took off her jacket. She saw Tenshi and Matsao on the couch watching a movie. “Hey guys!” “Shhh,” Tenshi whispered. “Gee,” She rolled her eyes. She walked towards Taki’s room and knocked. “Taki?” The door opened and Takiru smiled at her. “Hey!” He kissed her forehead. “What are you doing here?” “Just came to say hi.” “I heard Seiko popped the question congrats.” He smiled at her Sari’s face lit up. “Thanks, I can’t wait either!” Sasha looked at them as they talked happily and wondered why Takiru won’t do the same with her. Her hands balled into fists. In her mind an image flowed. She was older and in a beautiful place. Her face concerted only of evil as a wicked laugh that spilled from her lips. Sasha shook her head as if to clear it. Breathing slowly she turned to the kitchen. Matsao who had looked at her discreetly stood and followed her in the kitchen. He saw her by the sink. She was bent over and her head was underneath the faucet as it released cold water on her head. He went out to get a towel. Sasha looked down at the bottom of the sink as her mind exploded with memories of her past. Laughter rang in her head loud and clear as a voice boomed. “I’m coming back, and there’s nothing you can do about.” Suddenly the water stopped flowing and she was pulled away. A soft towel was on her head as she shivered from the cold water running down her neck. “What the hell are you doing?” She heard her brother’s voice. Sasha for some reason couldn’t speak; it was like something was taking over her body. She just looked at him with quiet cold eyes. “Brother.” Her voice seemed older and evil. Matsao looked at her surprised yet sorrowful. “Sasha.” He whispered. Suddenly Sasha’s eye reverted back to its sad one. “Matsao, I’m sorry.” She looked at him as if she was going to cry. “What’s happening to me?” Matsao encased her in a protective embrace. He rubbed her back to soothe her. “It’s okay, everything will be okay.” He told her convincingly but he was trying to convince himself as well. “You’re lying.” Sasha whispered. “Something is going to happen to me and you know it.” She broke down crying. “Please help me.” Matsao’s hold on her tightened, he held her closer to him as he whispered soothing words to her. As she stopped crying she fell asleep. Matsao carried her out of the kitchen; Tenshi stopped him at the door. “What happened?” She asked worried. The tone of her voice gained the attention of Takiru and Sari. They both went to Matsao. “Why is her hair wet? Here let me have her.” Sari asked Matsao gave Sasha to her and she immediately went into Tenshi’s room and was followed by her. They both took care of her. Takiru turned to Matsao worried. “Is she ok? Are YOU ok?” Matsao nodded to answer and sighed. “She’s starting to wake up Takiru. What am I suppose to do? We both know we can’t let her and I can’t kill her.” “Oh god.” Takiru whispered. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Seiko was going through the yellow book. He was searching for a minister. He and Sari have been working on the wedding that would be in two weeks. They wanted a small wedding. Undime, Tenshi and Aya had decided to do the food, while Amika, Sasha and Sari looked for the gowns and tuxedos that would be for the wedding. He was stuck getting the other things with the help of the guys. “Thank god we only go through this once.” He whispered. “I don’t think so.” Sumino said in a singing voice. “What about the children?” Seiko grabbed the pillow on the couch and threw it at him. Hitting Sumino square on the face. Tatsuya snickered. “Hey!!” He yelled annoyed. “I’m the one helping you here?” Seiko rolled his eyes and continued searching. He stopped when he saw an advertisement of a church. “Hey what about this one?” Yuuho took the book from him and scanned it. “I thought you guys wanted a sunset wedding not a church wedding?” Seiko sighed. “Sari wanted a sunset wedding I really don’t care where it is, just as long as the words I do are in it.” “I say you better keep looking.” Yasha grinned as he searched the internet. Seiko sighed again. Suddenly Undime appeared in front of them with a grim look on her face. “We got a problem.” She whispered. The guys looked up at her immediately. “What is it?” Yuuho asked. “Aya cut her hand.” A voice said behind Undime. The guys burst into laughter after what Amika said sunk in. They immediately stopped when they heard growling, they looked at Undime and sobered up. “Sorry,” was uttered by each one of them. Amika and Aya who was holding her finger gathered with the boys in front of Undime. “Look, Sasha waking up.” “So what?” Sumino asked All color drained from Yasha’s face, as he understood why Undime was so worried. “Oh no.” “What? Why is it important that she’s waking up?” Seiko asked confused like the others. Undime faced him with firm eyes. “She’s one of Sari’s guardians and the most evil one at that. If she wakes up everything will be destroyed with no questions asked.” She explained. “Sasha was half responsible for the destruction of our world. She can manipulate minds and if Sari is with her now…” “No.” Seiko whispered. “She and the others will turn against us again.” Yasha finished. “Now that they have all members with them they’re unstoppable.” “What can we do?” Aya whispered. “We destroy Sasha before it’s too late.” Undime spoke “Matsao would never let anything happen to his sister, how the hell are we going to kill her. Yea we go up to him and say, ‘hey man, we have to kill your sister I hope you don’t mind.’ Like hell he would.” Amika spoke angrily. Suddenly the doorbell rang; Seiko stood and opened the door. He sighed in relief when he saw Sari. “Sorry I left my keys at Taki’s. She rushed in and went to her room and came out with something in her hands. She headed for the door. Seiko grabbed her arm gently. “Where are you going?” “At Taki’s something’s wrong with Sasha. She won’t wake up.” She explained. “You can’t go.” Tatsuya said. “What why not?” Sari asked angrily. “I don’t even want to hear it. Seiko let go.” “No,” Seiko whispered. “We need to talk now.” He pulled her to his room and locked the door. He turned around to face her. “What are you doing?” Sari asked surprised and a bit angry. “Matsao’s sister needs help.” “Sari listen to me,” Seiko began to tell her what Undime and Yasha had told the just a minute ago. When he was done he looked at her only to find a wavering look from his fiancée’s eyes. “I---I can’t just leave them Seiko. They need me.” “But I need you.” He whispered as he stepped closer to her. “I know I’m being selfish but I need you more then ever. I almost lost you before and I don’t want to go through it again. You mean to much.” Suddenly the phone ringed and Sumino’s voice was heard. “Sari it’s for you.” Sari looked at Seiko with tears in her eyes for a long time before she sighed. She walked out of the room as she wiped her tears, Seiko followed behind. “Hello?” “Sari where are you?” Tenshi’s worried voice was heard through the phone. “You still coming right? Sasha’s getting worse and we don’t know what to do.” “I,” Her voice was caught in her voice as tears spilled. She looked at Seiko and her mother for a while. She cleared her throat and wiped her tears. “Tenshi I---I can’t come.” There was silence on the other end of the phone for a very long time. “Sari?” Tenshi’s voice trembled. “Why? We need you here.” “I’m sorry, I’ll explain when I come over there later ok. Tenshi----Tenshi?” “I-I see. Bye.” The phone dropped and Sari looked at the phone. She drew a breath to calm herself but it wasn’t working. It wasn’t fair, none of this was. It wasn’t fair. “It’s not FAIR!!!!!” She screamed and threw the receiver to the wall across from her, it burst and all the pieces fell to the ground. Everyone gasped in shock, fright and worry. Sari collapsed on her knees and cried like a lost child. Seiko went to her and embraced her only for her to pull back. They all just watched as she cried. Eventually she cried herself to sleep. *~*~*~*~*~*~* Tenshi dropped the phone and ran back to the room where Matsao and Takiru was. She gave Matsao the glass of water she held in her right hand and watched as Matsao helped his sister drink the water as he raised her head up. Takiru grabbed Tenshi’s hand gently and pulled her aside. He looked at her with worry. “Is Sari on her way?” He whispered. Tenshi’s eyes grew cold at the name for an instant before it reverted back to scared and worry. She shook her head no. “She’s not coming.” She said in a very soft voice. Takiru looked at her surprised and confused. “What do you mean not coming? She had to come.” “That’s what she said.” Tenshi looked at the floor. “She sounded broken up about it but she said she can’t come.” Takiru let go of her hand and vanished. He reappeared in the leaving room of Seiko’s apartment. Everyone but Sari and Seiko looked at him with surprise. He glared at all of them. “Where is she?” He asked coldly.” Undime stood up from where she was seated and looked at him. “What is it?” She asked as she stepped closer to him. “You heard me where is Sari? Why didn’t she come?” “She’s here, she just can’t come with you.” Undime spoke clearly to Takiru as she stood in front of him. The others watched from behind. “I thought we had an agreement! We were friends! Friends don’t dessert one another when they need help.” He yelled. Undime looked at him sadly as she reached to touch his face but he backed away. “Yes, we had an agreement. But I broke it because it was the only thing to save my daughter.” “What are you talking about? Sari’s in no danger.” Takiru glared at Undime but she only smiled a small smile. “Right now Sasha’s awakening.” That was the only thing she needed to say for Takiru to understand. His eyes went wide for a second. “But---that can’t happen.” “It is and if Tenshi and Matsao are around her now,” She couldn’t finish her sentence because Takiru had already vanished as he heard his friend’s names. Undime walked towards Sari’s room and walked in. She saw Seiko sitting on the chair by the wall staring off in space while Sari was tucked in her bed nicely as she slept. Seiko looked at Undime as she sat at the edge of the bed. He finally decided to speak. “That was Takiru wasn’t it?” Undime nodded. She brushed Sari’s bangs from her face and sighed. “You told him?” It was more of a say then a question. Seiko noticed the frown on her face that appeared. “What is it?” “Sari’s getting hot.” She whispered in a panic. Her voice was loud enough for Seiko to hear her. He stood up immediately and went to both women. He placed a hand on her for head and frown as he felt it hot. “What’s going on?” “I think it’s because of the link she has with Sasha. If any of her wardens are sick she will feel their pain too. I think the same goes for you.” “So there’s nothing to worry about right?” Seiko looked at her for an answer. “Right, it should pass in an hour or two.” Undime spoke. She placed her hand on Sari’s stomach. She felt something weird, like another aura growing, a very small one. She concentrated more on it without getting Seiko’s attention, then it hit her. A baby was growing. She looked at Seiko who was watching Sari and then she turned her gaze towards her own daughter. A bright smile grew on her lips. She stood up and walked out of the room. She found everyone watching a movie trying to distracted themselves of what was happening with Sasha. She went to Yasha and grabbed his arm pulling him to the kitchen. “I’m watching a movie Dime.” He said but she paid no attention to it. They looked as she pushed Yasha into the kitchen and shrugged. Inside Yasha stood glaring at Undime. “this better be good Dime cause I’m watching a very good movie there.” He paused and looked at her with suspicion. “Why are you smiling like that?” Undime’s smile grew even bigger. “Guess who’s going to be grandparents in nine months.” She said just like a child holding a secret. Yasha looked at her confused until he got the meaning. He looked at Undime surprised and she nodded eagerly. “Alright!” He yelled happily. “But you can’t tell anyone especially Seiko and Sari. They don’t know yet, it’s too early to know yet.” “Then how did you find out?” Undime told him and he grinned, “now---” he started. “You’re old!!!” He ran out the kitchen. Undime frowned intensely. “Yasha!!!” She ran after him and cornered him in a corner. The others stopped watching the movie and watched the two finding it more amusing. “You’re dead!” Yasha grinned sheepishly. “You can’t hurt me, you know that. I’m faster then you. You’re too old.” He bit his lips from laughing. Undime growled. “We’ll see about that jackass.” In an instant she was face to face with Yasha. Only an inch was left between them. “Is that fast enough?” “No,” He grinned. Undime raised her hand and brought it down to him but Yasha vanished he appeared behind her. They both seem to forget everything around them as they continued their game. Finally Undime had got Yasha and pinned him on the ground. “Ha! Got ya.” She looked down at him, he was breathing hard. “Ok, ok you win.” Yasha whispered gasping for air. She had knocked the wind out of him. “Nope, not until I hear what I want to hear.” She sat on his stomach. She sat as if she was on a horse with both of her legs to one side. She looked down at him. He was trying to catch his breath and her sitting on him like that didn’t help. “I can stay here all day you know.” Yasha glared at her. “Undime get up!!! You’re crushing me!” Undime frowned. “Are you calling me fat!?” “No, where did you get that from? Just get off!” “Nope.” The others grinned at Yasha as he got himself in trouble. Yasha rolled his eyes. “Fine, Undime you’re not old, nor slow, nor fat. Get up now!” “Not until you say it like you mean it, honey.” Undime looked at her nails she blowed on them and wiped them on her shirt. She looked at them again. Yasha sighed. “Undime.” He started. He really didn’t want to do this. He put on his best innocent look and began. “You’re not fat, old, or slow. I’m sorry.” He couldn’t believe this. “I’m really sorry. Could you please get off of me now.” Undime sighed as she shook her head. “Now was that too painful?” She asked. “Undime.” Yasha growled. “With that attitude I won’t stand.” Yasha immediately smiled. “Good boy.” Undime spoke and petted his head. She stood up. Yasha glared at her. “I’ll get you.” Undime smiled innocently. “Love you too.” She disappeared before she noticed Tatsuya frown at what she said. Yasha sighed and laid back on the floor staring at the ceiling---plotting.
