Children of Innocence        Chapter 3

    Sun queen looked at her delusional daughter with smirks. Her 
concerned face showed it very well. "Why wouldn't her daughter answer her?"
Selina looked puzzled. " Xlexa!"  " Why won't you answer me!?"
Looking over at her mother stopped her bewildred trance.  
' Sorry mother, " I was only troubled about the pain that lead up to be queen."   
"The transformation?"    " Oh... mother."   
"Don't I get to to guard the mystical flame tonight?"      
' Yes daughter, you may go guard it, but I shall send some of your subjects 
with you to celebrate this joyful occassion. "Noooo!" Xlexa screams echoed 
in her mother's ears.   " Let me be alone just for tonight."
Selina was shocked of her daughter's reaction. " Don't act like that Xlexa!"
She looked around at all the stares, from the throne room of the sun. 
"Don't behave that way." ' Your subjects are getting the impression, you don't 
want to become their monarch."   ' I do, but for one night I can be brave."
" I'll show you."  " I have enough courage to go thru with it, she begged."
 
Umm... " Very well."   ' Please do as you please, then we will celebrate
the great task of keeping the flame lit without help."
 
    Xlexa left with the flame that night. She placed it on a cliff in the deepest
part of the forest. Xlexa flexed her transparent wings with each twist. Sort of
excercise for her tired wings. Her antanee shone with a ball of dim golden light.
Xlexa's white body sparkled similar to silver glitter.While the light around her head
shone as a flower touched by the sun's rays. She sat with her knees out, and her
thin legs underneath her petite body. Fluff around her body appeared to be the hue
of alpine white. Snow covered white of the swedish alps.
 
   Xlexa waited patiently for Aourea, who finaly peeked his head out of the pool.
Xlexa was turned toward the flame, so she didn't see Aouera searching for her.
 
   The fire fairy stared at the calming flame. It seemed to react to her moods.
The nymph's wings twitched with each goosebump made by chilled wind. Aouera's
aroura was the wind Xlexa felt. Aourea ran swiftly to his troubled love. When he sat
beside her, he noticed her mind was occupied. He spoke to the distant Xlexa.
" Why didn't you greet me, when I came this far to see you?"  " Why didn't you look
for me?"  Xlexa had a unexpessed sadness about her. Her tears glistened, and Aourea
couldn't help, but notice her hurt face. Many tears flung down her face. It even made 
his heart hurt to see her this way. Softening his fingers with silk from her hair, 
he stroked her back with his other hand. Aourea held her to his chest. Xlexa was 
soothed by the sound of his heartbeat. Wiping her tears, and moving her head left 
and right to the extreme tense emotions, she felt some comfort when Aourea was 
holding her close. Aouera glanced at the pools inside Xlexa's eyelids.
 
   Both reflectioned fairy figures moved from splashing of frogs and bluebirds in 
the lake. Althou they didn't move at all on the folidge hills. Xlexa and Aouera 
looked at each other, then peered into the water examing their reflections 
together. " Look at that pretty blossom!" Aouera asked her a curious question. 
"You want that flower?"   ugh...hugh.. She nodded. Xlexa pointed at a peach tone 
blossom in the midst of green plantlife, floating on the surface of the pool.  
Without hisatation, Aourea dived into the water and cliped the plant's stem 
underwater. The tiny lilypad flower was breathtaking. Epecialy since Aouera gave it to
her, by placing in her hair like a bow. He parted her hair and looked at her innocent 
moon shaped face. He pulled her away, so that he could kiss her.
 
   Xlexa held him close and cried again. She looked away, staring into the lake water
again."This relationship will never leave my memory."  " Our courtship is at a standstill."
" My mother is becoming suspecious."   Xlexa's voice was harsh and discord fled her throat.
 
" I must not give any reason, to her wondering if something special had happened 
in my life."If we only meet once in a while."  Aourea scratched his head. 
"Why a while?"  " Let's run away together tonight!"
Xlexa brought Aouera closer to her developing chest. He smelt the blossom as parfume that
tickled all his senses including his manhood. Aouera hormones were getting the best of him.
Xlexa felt something hard against her stomach. She looked underneath her, to see if a sharp
rock happened to be under her. " What are you looking for, asked Aouera?"  " I felt some
hard object under me."     Aourea blushed from embarresment, cause his manhood was the
object she did feel.   Humm... A warm hard object. He ran and jumped into the water before
Xlexa saw it was his shaft.   " Anyways, she continued."   Aouera sat beside her, 
but not close enough to let that happen to him again. " We could never be lovers."  
"We'll have to be friends with less communication."    ' Look at this way Aouera, we 
have fine memories."  "Noooo!"
 
Aouera found the courage to touch her again. Xlexa held him close. A little too close 
for his comfort. His sex drive left him alone when she cried again. ' It's over, 
my mother will find us out and imprison you, Aouera."   " She'd never allow you 
to be my suitor."   "Then I'll be queen of the fire people."   "I have four days!"   
" Believe it or not my birthday lies on the day in which the dark son exposes itself."    
Aourea thought a moment. " You mean the eclipse?" " You know about it?"  
Xlexa looked suprized he even knew.  " My father told me."
"He said it will be in four days."  "The frost people won't see it."  "Why?, she asked."
" Our snow clouds will block this wonderous event, he told her."   " Besides, I won't be me."
 Ohh...  " That's can't be true!" Aouera was left in shock. " My mother said I will go through
a remarkable transformation. " In words I can understand?"   " My skin, hair, eyes, and 
everything will change save for my personality."   " I'll become a woman instantly."
" Never will I have to have growth spurts."  Aouera looked disgused and silently listened.
' My mother says, I will appericate my new appearence."     " My destiny is to reign over
the fire people."     Aourea grew sad. He knew Xlexa didn't want this. "Fire people?"
 Sniff.  " Fire fairy nymphs."
 
    Xlexa's antanee's flame glowed dim. Aourea could see she was upset with her
perdicterment. " Xlexa, we can escape this trial."   " How?"  " All we have to do, is
hide far in the deepest forest."   " For four whole days?",  Xlexa gasped.   " How hard
can that be?"   "Won't they find us?"   Aouera remembered the firefly.   
' Xlexa , can't Lightbulb guard the flame?"   "However, do you mean?"    
"Have him pretend he's you."
 
    Xlexa begged Lightbulb to guard the mystical flame. He consented since he was her
friend. He could act it out well, since he could change his light color on his bottom.
 " Now, remember to cover the flame with this."   She handed him a crystal cover
 
   " It won't quinch now."   "Clever, said Lightbulb."  Xlexa nodded.   
" It should work, Xlexa said"  " Better work, Aourea said."  Xlexa hugged Lightbulb 
as Aouera smiled.  "Bye, Lightbulb." Lightbulb saw her tears, but ignored his 
true nature to say goodbye for good
 
    Xlexa and Aouera took off toward the borderline. The border between the sunny and snow
kingdoms.
 
    Selina watched the flame each night, thinking it belonged to Xlexa's auera.
The flame was beautiful, but loney, cause Xlexa was gone from the sunny lands.
