Isenor (sailor_sun_@hotmail.com) Note: Again Sharon has helded me out! So everyone should go check out her page, which can be found in my links page. She has just started a new fanfiction, which is off to a good start! So once do here head over there I'm sure you won't be dissapointed! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jessica turned around the last corner down the block before reaching her bus stop. The red haired girl let out a deep sigh as she anticipated another boring day at school. "Hey Jessica! Is that you? Wait up!" A soft voice called out from behind Jessica. Turning around, Jessica saw Alissa running up to her, smiling and waving. Jessica smiled and waved back. "So did you hear what happened yesterday at the mall?" asked Alissa, her Scottish voice filled with excitement. "I can't believe it, a Sailor Scout, here, just like in Japan!" Alissa smiled, remembering all the stories she heard about the female warriors. "Yeah, sure did!" smiled back Jessica, tossing her long red hair aside. "Especially when she . . ." She was about to talk about it more, then closed her mouth, decided not to take any chances in revealing too much about what she knew, and who that "senshi" really was. "What's wrong?" asked Alissa, looking at Jessica curiously. Her voice toned down a bit. "Umm, nothing. We should keep walking, before we miss our bus ride to school." Said Jessica, turning around and walking ahead. After a few moments of silence, she turned to the blond shorthaired girl. "You know, you never told me much about where you came from." Jessica said, her blue eyes curious. "So what's Scotland like?" A wide grin spread across Alissa's face. "It is so beautiful there. I lived in the busy, architectural city of Glasgow. Well I really lived just outside of Glasgow, in the green countryside. I had the longest bus ride." "Speaking of bus rides I think ours has just driven away." Jessica pointed at the yellow bus, which was driving away from the two girls. They both began to run. The bus driver pulled over and opened the door. "You girls have almost missed your bus already, the second day of school." The bus driver smiled. Jessica and Alissa went and sat in a seat near the middle. Jessica turned to Alissa. "Continue with your story." Jessica slid the single strap of her new black shoulder book bag off her right shoulder and set it on her lap. Alissa smiled then began where she left off. "There are so many museums and galleries there. And you should see all of the malls, you can always find what you're looking for. There is a really nice river, the Clide River. My school wasn't very far from there." "Did you own your own horses?" Jessica asked as she looked at her friend with eager eyes. Eyes which were eager to learn more. "Yup, sure did. Oh I love horses so much. My favorite horse that I owned is Lilly. She is a lived chestnut thoroughbred/hanovarian. I used her for three day events." Alissa face lit up again, "I'll show you a picture of her when we get to school, I have one in my locker." "What's three day eventing?" "Oh it is a competition with three separate events, dressage, jumping, and cross country. My favorite of the events is the jumping." "Horses are so beautiful, I never really went riding before, you will have to teach me now!" Jessica said with a quick grin and giggle. "I can do that if you want, the people that I'm staying with right now have horses, so that worked out really good." Alissa's face brightened even more. It went silent again as Jessica looked out of the window. The bus pulled into the school. All the students got restless, moving their book bags onto their backs, and straighten out their clothes. Jessica and Alissa stepped off the bus and made their way inside the school. * * * * * "You find anything interesting yet Jessica? I can't find anything that strikes me as interesting." Alissa flipped through the pages of the school newspaper. She turned and smiled at her new friend. "Nope, nothing" Jessica flipped to the last page of the newspaper. "What is this?" She asked herself as she read the ad. "This could be interesting Alissa, here check it out." Jessica put her newspaper on top of Alissa's and pointed to the ad. "That one." Alissa quickly scanned over the ad. "Halifax Grammar School in proud to say that there is now a fencing class after school hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays and every other week it is also on Saturday. If interested see the office and sign up." Alissa read it out loud. "Have you ever fenced before?" Alissa handed the newspaper back to Jessica. "Kind of, I never took lessons. But I'm sure I can wing it." Jessica looked up into the blue sky above. "What about you, are you going to join? Or did you see something else that caught your eye?" Alissa smiled and looked up into the sky with Jessica. "Well yes, I think I will join the Riding Club. I love to be around horses." Jessica turned to Alissa and smiled. "I'm guessing that you want to do something big with horses someday." "Well I guess, some day I hope to be a professional show jumper, and a vet for large animals." Alissa twisted her body so she was fully facing Jessica. "What about you?" A big smile spread across Jessica's face. "I want to sing. I think it would be so neat to be known for something that you've done. To be famous would be a blast." Jessica paused. Alissa smiled. "Singing would be something fun to do, if only I could sing!" Alissa had a quick laugh along with Jessica. Alissa looked down at her watch. "Come on lets go see about that fencing club of yours." Alissa stood up and checked her clothes for dirt from the ground. Alissa pulled Jessica up off the ground. "Come on." She began to run, pulling Jessica along behind her. Jessica stumbled a couple of times, while she tried to catch her balance. 'Finally I can have a somewhat remotely "normal" friend.' Jessica's face lit up. 'But I'll never have a normal life.' Jessica's face went from happy to sad in a split second, she let out a sigh of regret. 'Why did I have to be chosen to be a sailor scout?' Jessica followed Alissa into the schools front doors. * * * * * "Emperor, sir. I have some news for you, if I may be permitted to speak." A female voice echoed through the darkness. A figure stepped forward out of the shadows. "Yes you may speak, and tell me of the news that you speak about." An extremely deep masculine voice came from the shadows. There was no emotion to the voice. The voice came from a male's figure, which stood ten feet away from Kasumi. Over his body he wore a black cloak which covered his face. The only thing which could be seen was his cold piercing electric blue eyes. "The mission that you sent me on yesterday." The figure of Kasumi stepped out of the shadows. She held her head high with respect. She put right hand over her heart and bowed as customary. "Did you get the heart stone?" The deep voice still showed no emotion. "Well no, I got interrupted. There was a Sailor Scout, she got in my way. I had it in my hand and was about to . . ." "No more, I don't want to hear anymore about your recent failure. Now go and make plans for your next mission." The man's voice was full of anger now. "Yes my Emperor, but what if the sailor scout shows up again? What will I do then?" Kasumi stepped forward. "Come no closer." Kasumi stepped back a bit startled. "And as for this sailor scout you talk about I'm sure you shouldn't have any trouble destroying her. After all it is only a small girl, a helpless human at that. So go now and get me heart stones." The Emperor's voice was very demanding. Kasumi nodded her head, still a little troubled about the sailor scout. She then turned and walked off deeper into the darkness, the further she walked the more gray mist that surrounded her until she was completely covered. Then by an unfelt wind the mist was blown away. Kasumi no longer was in the same room as the Emperor. * * * * * "Alissa! Over here!" Jessica stood by the bike rack, she waved her hands fiercely trying to get her friends attention. "Alissa!" The blonde haired girl turned in the direction of Jessica's voice. Once she noticed her new friend she made her way through the large crowd of students who were all in a hurry to get to their busses. "Hey Jessica, can you believe that it is Friday already? Just two days of school and we are at a weekend. I think that was a really stupid idea of the School Board, but it works out for us!" Alissa smiled, then turned towards the busses. "We don't want to be late like we were this morning do we?" Jessica asked with a quick giggle. She turned to Alissa who had a grin on her face. "Yeah after all that running we did in gum today, I definitely don't feel like running after the bus." Alissa speed up her pace at the thought of running after the bus again. The two girls stepped onto the bus and found an empty seat near the back. The bus was full of noise, all the different conversations going on all at once, it was hard to hear what you were saying. "So what are you going to do this weekend?" Alissa asked loudly in her Scottish voice, which could quite easily be heard over everyone else's voice. Jessica turned from the window towards her friend. She looked up in thought. "I'm not really sure, what about you?" "Nothing really." Alissa said more quietly this time as she looked down at her lap. "Do you want to do something?" Alissa's head quickly rose. "I don't know maybe we could go out on the town for the night, get to know this place better. What do you think?" Alissa nodded her head in agreement keenly. "That would be good. What time? It will have to be after lunch I'm afraid. I've got that Riding Club thing from nine o'clock to eleven thirty." "That's fine, because I've got my fencing class tomorrow around that time. So where do you want to meet at?" The bus came to a stop, as did the conversation. "Oh this is our stop." Jessica said as she stood up and slung her shoulder bag over her right shoulder and made her way down the aisle, Alissa followed along with a few other kids. Once everyone had stepped off the bus Jessica and Alissa turned in the direction of their homes. "Oh how about we meet up at the Café, I think it's called the Centra Café, yeah that's it." Jessica nodded in agreement. The two girls walked in silence along the sidewalk, every now and then a car would drive by. Alissa broke the silence. "Well this is my house, well the one I'm staying at anyway." Alissa pointed to the house up on the hill, it was a pale blue color, and Victorian style. Jessica looked in the direction Alissa had pointed to. "You live really close to me, I live about three houses down on the other side of the road!" "Really! That is so neat, we are already good friends and we don't have to worry about paying bus fee!" Alissa said as she giggled. "So where about do the horses stay?" Jessica asked as she stepped to the right trying to see behind the large house. "Oh, they are around back, there isn't a big field or anything, but there is enough room for six horses." "Six! There are six horses back there! You will have to show me sometime." Jessica tried looking behind the house again. The only thing she could see was a big fence that went around the back of the house. "Are they behind that fence?" Jessica pointed to the white fence. "Yup they are behind there, and they are lucky that they are there at all." "Why?" "Simply because you aren't to have livestock this close to town, but since Mr. Edward's bought another lot, and his parents had owned the land a long time before a small subdivision was built around it, he was able to keep horses." Alissa said with a smile. "Oh I see." Jessica said as she looked up once again at the white fence. "Well I'll see you tomorrow then at the café." Alissa said with a quick wave of her hand as she began up her driveway. Jessica turned and headed towards her house. She scuffed her feet as she walked. Tired from the long day at school. 'I have got to get used to this time change!' Jessica thought to herself as she slowly made her way to her home. * * * * * "Jessica we have to have a scout meeting." The large doberman pincher walked into Jessica's room and sat over in front of the window seat after he shut the door. "But I'm doing my homework." Jessica said as she turned over on to her side so she could face the noble face of the dog that sat before her. "Now come on Jessica, when do you put homework before scout business? I was sure you would jump at the chance to get a break from the math work. And besides it's Friday, you have all weekend to do your homework!" Jessica let out a sigh. "Yeah your right, I guess I wanted to get it done so I wouldn't have to worry about it all weekend. You get it done and over with. But oh well." With that Jessica shut her math book and sat up. "What is it now?" Eclipse got up and walked over to Jessica. "I have been doing some research on what a heart stone is, and I couldn't really find much, other then that when someone's heart stone was taken away from their body that they would become cold hearted." Jessica nodded her tired head to show Eclipse she was listening to what he was saying. "Anyway, this is something which hasn't been done since the dark ages, which was a long time before your mother and father took the throne. There was an old legend of the heart stones. But there is no record of what that legend was, and that was over two thousand years ago." The expression of thought spread across Jessica's face. "So this new enemy are getting these heart stones because it is to be expected that they know what the legend is." Eclipse nodded. "That is the conclusion that I have come to Jessica." "So is this like the legend of the lost city of Atlantis?" Jessica asked in a joking tone. "This no laughing matter young lady. We have to try to find information on this legend. Hopefully that will help us." Eclipse stood up, shook his dark coat and headed for the door. "That's it?" Jessica asked in a confused tone. "Well for now anyway, and besides supper is ready." Eclipse opened the door and exited the room. * * * * * "Alright listen up class!" A tall man stood in front of the two rows of teenagers. They all turned to give him their attention. "Alright so you had better listen to everything I have to say, because this isn't a class that you can get through by not listening! So pay attention!" The man's voice was strict and demanding. He had a bold face, short black hair and small green eyes. One of the teenagers at the front of the line raised his hand. "Excuse me sir, but what is your name?" "My name is Lou. Now can we get on with this?" Everyone nodded. "Good footwork is the key to being a successful fencer. It is the foundation upon which all your skills will rest and depend." Lou went on with the instruction, everyone was paying close attention to what he was saying. "First off you have to place both feet together at the heels, forming a right angle. Your right foot should be pointed directly forward, your left foot directly to the left." All the youth followed their instructors lead. 'When do we get to do the fun stuff?' Jessica thought to herself as she placed her feet in the proper position. "Alright now that you have got that, I want you to move your feet about shoulder width apart. Don't go too wide! One and a half to two feet is just about right!" Lou looked at a few of the youths in the back, which were giggling. "Excuse me, if you have something that is so interesting, then why don't you share it with the entire class!" The two at the back got shocked looked on their faces and stood as the others were. "No, no mister. There is nothing that we have to share, sorry we won't bother you again." 'Boy this guy is strict! He is worse then Luna, Raye and Eclipse put together.' Jessica smiled. "Okay now bend both legs and distribute your weight about 60/40, front to back." Lou walked around looking at everyone's feet carefully. "Good, now keep your body upright, and don't stick out your butt!" 'This isn't hard at all.' Jessica said as the grin widened on her face. "Hold your right hand over you right leg and point it straight forward, with the forearm parallel to the ground. Don't worry about the saber for now, just make a loose fist. Your right elbow should be about a fists width away from your body." Lou walked back towards Jessica. "You seem to be a natural at this. Jessica turned her head, "Me, you think I'm good?" Jessica said shocked. "Yup, you are getting this a lot faster then everyone else, and not to mention, you footing is perfect. There is no doubt in my mind that you will be the best fencer in this class, if you can stay focused." Lou continued on, Jessica's face was now glowing, a wide smile, happy eyes and an overall expression of joy. * * * * * "Humm, lets see. Where can I target an un-expecting human today?' Kasumi thought out load as she scanned the area with her cold eyes. They came to stop on a middle-aged woman who was running around the block. "She could work, she seems to be putting out a lot of energy, maybe she was one of the needed heart stones." Kasumi continued to think out loud as she followed the woman through shadows of the tall buildings above her. "I will have to wait until she is alone, away from the busy streets. The last thing I need is to be surrounded by meddling humans. Maybe she will go down a back road." Kasumi flew high up into the sky and hid in the bright light of the sun. "I guess I will have to follow her around for and wait. Now this is the part I look forward to." Kasumi added very sarcastically. * * * * * "Hey Alissa, there you are!" Jessica waved happily from the table that she sat just outside the café. Alissa walked over and plopped down in the chair across from Jessica. "Oh I hope you don't mind me getting an outdoor booth, I just thought we should be outside because it is such a nice day." Jessica looked up into the sky, she directed her attention to the brightly glowing sun. Unaware of the danger which flew above. "No I don't mind at all, so how did you find the fencing class?" Alissa asked as she leaned forward eager to hear what Jessica had to say. "Well I think it went really well. And Lou, the instructor said that I was a natural!" Jessica boasted. "What about your riding club?" "Oh that went really well, I enjoyed it a lot. To be back in the saddle, it was great!" Alissa noticed the waitress, which was walking over towards them. "Time to order." A smiled spread across Alissa's face. "May I take your order?" The short brown haired waitress asked as she pulled out a notepad of paper and a pencil. "I'll have a strawberry milkshake." Jessica looked up at the waitress as she wrote the order down on her notepad. "And you miss?" The waitress looked down at Alissa. "And I'll have a..." Alissa pondered. "I'll have a large banana split with strawberry, chocolate and butterscotch toppings." Jessica and the waitress both looked at Alissa with wide eyes. Both thinking the same thing, how could such a skinny girl eat so much? The waitress walked off and returned with their orders. Alissa dove into her banana split. "I've only known one other person that eats as much as you do, and that was Serena!" Jessica said a bit shocked. Alissa's face went a light tone of red. "What can I say I like my ice cream." Alissa said awkwardly as she slowed down the amount of food she put into her mouth at a time. * * * * * "Alight, here we go!" Kasumi swooped down and landed right in front of the woman which she had been following. The woman screamed in terror and ran down an alley. A small smile spread across her face. "No this is the fun part, chasing the victim." Kasumi flew down the alley after the woman, as she was an eagle chasing her prey. * * * * * Jessica felt a tugging at her arm, she turned to see Eclipse with her coat in his mouth. "What are you doing here?" Jessica asked as she patted the dog on his head. "Oh what a nice dog, he is beautiful!" Alissa stared at the dog in awe. "And what an interesting collar." Alissa looked from the dog up to Alissa. "He doesn't bite does he?" "This big old thing? No, he wouldn't hurt a fly, well maybe a flea." Jessica said with a quick smiled. Alissa leaned forward and patted the dog's head, she then scratched him under the chin. The big dog leaned in to Alissa's hand. Then he suddenly snapped out of the trance and stood up and shook his body. "Now what do you want boy?" Jessica leaned closer to the dog's mouth. "Come on you have to go, I hope you have you transformation medallion." Eclipse said quietly, being careful that Alissa would hear, Jessica herself had a hard time hearing. "Umm, Alissa I'm sorry but I really have to get this big butt head home, I don't want him to get lost." Jessica said as she stood up and pulled a couple of dollars out of her pocket and set it on the table for the waitress. "Oh that's okay, I should be heading home soon anyway." Alissa looked down at her watch. "Alright then, since this got cut short why don't you come up later, maybe even spend the night. You know which house it is right?" Jessica asked as she slid her chair under the table. "Yup, it's the white house, on the corner, with the red trim." Alissa replied. "That would be it, well I'll see you later." Jessica said as she jumped over the fence that surrounded the outside eating area, Eclipse followed. They walked at a fast pace until they got around the corner, and went into an alley. "Alright Eclipse what's the deal?" Jessica asked as she squatted down so she was level with the dog. "I felt some weird vibes, and I don't like them one bit, it has to be Kasumi again. So hurry up and get trans . . ." "SOLARIS STAR . . . . . POWER!" Jessica then closed her eyes. The Solaris Medallion disappeared into many little orange and gold sparkles this caused her body to shimmer the colors of the sparkles as they fell onto her body. Then her silver tiara appeared with the red jewel in the center. The jewel then emitted a blinding flash of orange light that surrounded Jessica giving her the feel of the bright morning sun on her body. Then a swirl of orange and gold sparkles warped around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bows came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Sparkling golden rings then went around her feet forming boots. Then more sparkling rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the golden sparkles went around her waist forming her skirt. At that point there was a large burst of golden sparkles that flew up into the air, when the sparkles fell to the ground Sailor Sun was then reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. She stood there with one hand across her forehead and the other across her stomach with her legs together. Her long red hair then blew to the side. "Way ahead of you there Eclipse." Sailor Sun smiled, "Now what way?" "Follow me." The black and brown dog ran down the alley, he jumped over a large fence, which lead them into another alley. "Almost there now." Eclipse made a hard right, Sailor Sun followed at his heels. * * * * * "I thank-you for you cooperation." Kasumi threw the woman's body to the cold dirty cement. She moved the pink heart stone over and over in her hand. "I wonder if this could be one of the six?" Kasumi thought out loud. "I wonder why the Emperor needs them anyway, and how am I supposed to tell if this is one of the ones he is looking for. I really which he wouldn't be so secretive about everything, what does he have to hide anyway?" Kasumi clenched the heart stone on her hand. "None the less I should be off before that pesky scout shows up." Kasumi spread her wings, getting ready to take off into the sky above. "Are you calling me a pesky scout?" Kasumi looked in all directions, the voice echoed off the walls making it impossible to pinpoint the direct location of the voice. "Looking for me?" Sailor Sun jumped from the roof of one of the surrounding buildings, she landed gracefully behind Kasumi. The un-expecting Kasumi spun around to come face to face with Sailor Sun. "I am the sailor scout of the red star the sun, fighting for all within the Sol system! With the flames of the sun, and the power of fire, prepare to burn because I will punish you!" She got into her fighting stance. "And I suggest that you remember my name next time!" Sailor Sun swung a good punch at Kasumi, knocking her to the ground and dropping the heart stone. Sailor Sun quickly picked up the heart stone. "You are foolish Sailor Sun, because you have no idea of what type of force you are dealing with, little girls shouldn't get involved in affairs that you don't understand." With that Kasumi flew up into the air, but before she left she fired down a blast of cold mist which surrounded Sailor Sun, causing her to almost become immobile. "And I suggest you remember my name, for I am Kasumi, and my name means the mist." With that Kasumi disappeared into the light of the sun. Sailor Sun tried to see but couldn't because the light was too strong. Sailor Sun returned the heart stone into the woman, which used up the remaining energy, she had causing her to de-transform back into Jessica Walker. "Are you okay?" Eclipse asked as he ran over to Jessica's side. "Yes I'll be fine after a good night's sleep." Jessica said with a yawn. "Remember you invited Alissa up later." "Oh that's right too. Well if I get enough sugar into me I should be fine." Jessica rose to her feet. The two of them walked off slowly towards Jessica home.
