Sailor Moon Millenium - The Rise of the Stellar Scouts Chapter # 3 - Mysterious Vision's : Sailor Sun's Television Debut - Created April 3rd, 2000 By K.W. Isenor (sailor_sun_@hotmail.com) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jessica tossed in her bed sheets, unable to get comfortable, every so often she would mumble a few words from the dream she was having. The door to the balcony was open and the warm fall breeze gently lifted the curtains and made them dance in the air. She finally found a comfortable position on her back, the breeze lightly moved her bangs around upon her forehead. She had finally dozed off into a deep sleep, the dream began . . . *^*^*^*^* Jessica sat on a small stone bench, a willow tree grew beside her, it's long branches reached down towards the purple water, which sat at Jessica's feet. The water was still, everything around her was still. In the breeze a small yellow flower drifted by in front of her face. It was one of the star shaped flowers that the Daystar Knight would give her, they were called Sunrose's. Her head turned in the direction the flower continued to be blown. She arose from where she sat and followed the small flower. It led her to a corridor, it reached down as far as the eye could see. The small flower blew down the corridor, almost disappearing into the shadows Jessica began to run towards it. She ran and she ran, until she was stopped by a voice. The voice called her name, but not her name in which she was known to her family, but the name in which only the Sailor Scouts knew of. The voice called out again, "Princess Cassandra Solaris." She looked around startled. "Who's there?" She asked as she looked around, she did not feel in danger, but was somewhat confused. "Follow the flower." With those words the flower appeared in front of her, it started moving down the corridor at an incredible speed, it was hard for Jessica to keep up with it. The corridor stopped suddenly, she was now in a garden. Before her stood a maze entrance. The female voice spoke again. "Make your way through the maze and all the questions which you want to know will be answered." Jessica stepped forward into the entrance, the green walls towered over her. She looked up, then to either side, there was a path to the left and a path to the right. Without any hesitation she took the path to the right. After walking around for what seemed hours she came to a dead end, a breathy sigh escaped her lips as she leaned up against the wall which would not allow her to go any further, she fell backwards. The dead end was an illusion, she had made her way to the middle of the maze. She looked up to this large golden fountain. The water that poured from the top was purple, just like the lake. She slowly walked forward and looked into the purple water. Her image appeared in the water. "You have passed the test." Jessica continued to look in the water, her clothes disappeared that she was wearing and formed into her princess gown, four female figures appeared around her. She quickly looked up startled, there was no one around her. "Who, who are you?" Princess Cassandra asked, as she looked around frantically for the female figures she had just seen in the waters reflection. "That I can not tell you, but in time you will know who we are, for we are much like you, warriors, princesses, but unlike you we haven't been awakened. So that is the task that we give you, for you are the only one that can help us." The voice faded off, and around the fountain four figures slowly appeared, their faces and bodies were covered in a shadow. "Can't you tell me anything that can help me?" Princess Cassandra looked to each of the female figures, which stood around her in turn. "No we can't, that is for you to find out, we have given you the task, now you must complete it." The female figure to Princess Cassandra's near right spoke softly. The figures then began to disappear. "No wait, you can't leave me wondering like this." Princess Cassandra looked up into the light purple sky above. Everything around her began to fade . . . *^*^*^*^* Jessica sat up quickly, breathing deeply. She took a quick glance at her alarm clock. "6:00." Jessica heaved a deep sigh. "Well I might as well get up now." Jessica uncovered herself, slid her feet off the side of the bed, the floor was cold. She stood to her feet, a breeze blew through her hair and made her nightgown gently sway. She walked over to the balcony door and closed it. Eclipse lifted his head. "Up a bit early aren't we Jessica?" Eclipse looked over at the clock then up at Jessica. She just shrugged her shoulders and walked off towards the bathroom. 'Well that was odd.' Eclipse thought silently to himself as he stood up and shook his glossy coat. 'Someone must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed.' Eclipse turned and looked at the bathroom door before exiting the room. Jessica got undressed and stepped into the shower. The hot water could be heard beating down on her back. "What could all of this mean? Why am I getting these dreams? Who were those figures? Oh how I hate having so many questions floating around in my head at once." Jessica thought out loud before pounding her fist on the wall. She turned off the water after washing her long red hair. Grabbing a towel from the back of the door she carefully stepped out onto the bath mat. Turning to the mirror she picked up her brush and ran it through her wet tresses. Once it was dry she put it up in the normal fashion. And left the bathroom. * * * * * "Emperor." Kasumi appeared in the black empty room. She stepped towards her leader. "I have news." "What is it this time? More failure I'm guessing, for I do not see a heart stone in your hand." The Emperor's deep voice echoed through the shadows that surrounded them. Kasumi hung her head in shame, she stepped closer and put her right hand over her chest, then bowed. "Yes Emperor, I have failed again. It was the same sailor suited girl. She found me and attacked, knocking the heart stone out of my han . . ." She was cut short by the Emperor's deep angry voice. "How can you not carry out such a simple task? It shouldn't be that hard to do something as steal a persons heart stone." "I am aware of that, but even I am not sure of what it is you want me to look for, you have only told me that there are six. Six what?" Kasumi said trying to defend herself. "Yes there are six, the six strongest heart stones. Everyone has a heart stone, and you know that they contain the carriers soul, and when removed from their body they turn to be the exact opposite of their true self. So if someone is gentle they will become harsh without their heart stone." "I knew that, but I need to know more about these six that you speak of, how will I know once I find them? The two heart stones I have seen looked almost the same." Kasumi awkwardly questioned. "You will just know." The Emperor simply replied as he stepped forward towards Kasumi. He rested his arm on Kasumi's shoulder. She looked up into his cold electric blue eyes. His grasp tightened. Kasumi looked down at his hand, it was a deep red, long black claws protruded from each finger. He turned and walked back to where he stood, as he walked the clinking of his black toenails could be heard, he walked on the lower half of his foot. "Do you have another plan?" "No, Emperor I do not yet, how can I find which people contain the needed heart stones?" Kasumi calmly questioned. "I am not sure which people are to be targeted, try people who have a large amount of positive energy. Within them you should find the heart stones." TheEmperor suggested. "Now once you have a plan I want to hear it." Kasumi nodded and disappeared in a cloud of mist. * * * * * "Alissa." Jessica whispered out her friend's name. Alissa didn't hear her, she was too busy paying attention to the young gym teacher that walked back and forth in front of the class taking attendance. Jessica tried again, "Alissa." A bit louder this time, the blonde haired girl turned her head to face her friend. "What?" She whispered back. "I'm sorry, sorry about Saturday night, I was a bit tired." Jessica looked over at her friend carefully, trying not to get caught by the gym teacher. "Hey don't worry about it, I'm sure I would be tired if I had to chase after my dog for three blocks!" Alissa whispered. Jessica sighed. 'I hate lying to her, nice friend I am.' She was then knocked out of her thought by the call of her name, she looked to Alissa. Her name was called again, she looked towards the front of the gym, there the teacher stood with his foot tapping lightly on the floor. "Yes?" Jessica asked nervously as she bit her lower lip. "Are you here or not?" The teacher asked, a few giggles went through the students. "Yes, I'm here." Jessica said as he looked down at her feet. "Good, now that you're done with your daydreaming I can begin." The teacher went back to his clipboard he held in his hand. "How about we do something this Friday?" Jessica whispered quieter then ever. Alissa had to strain her ears to hear. She nodded her head in agreement. "Sounds good." "Girls please listen, I don't want you asking me what to do once I finish explaining everything!" The gym teacher had a bit of annoyance to the tone of his voice now. They both nodded their heads and looked up at the teacher as he explained the days lesson plan. He clapped his hands loudly and the students began to run around the outer edge of the gym. "So where do you want to go?" Jessica asked as she ran up to Alissa's side. "I don't know." Alissa thought out loud. "Maybe a movie, or how about I take you on a riding lesson!" Her voice full of excitement and hope. "That would be fun! But I warn you, I might scare them away." Jessica cheered. "Girls!" Alissa and Jessica turned in the direction of their teacher. "Since you two consist on wasting my time, then I will waste your time. You can both see me after school in the theory room." The teacher's voice was definitely full of anger. The two girls moved their heads up and down. A deep sigh escaped their lips in unison, they both giggled. "Girls!" They both shut their mouths and continued running around the gym. * * * * * "I know who I will attack now." Kasumi said as she stepped through a mist. The Emperor turned to face her. "Yes, what is it?" He asked not sounding too concerned in the matter. "I have found a target who is putting out a large amount of cheery energy." Kasumi said proudly. "Good, now why don't you go and attack this cheerful person." The Emperor shuddered. "I beg you to make this person depressed, I can't stand to see people so cheerful." He shuddered again at the mention of that word. Kasumi smiled, obviously pleased with herself. A smug expression was upon her pale blue face. She disappeared in the same fashion she had come. Once the Emperor was alone, he turned to face a fountain, which was hidden in the shadows before. He reached down and tapped the water with the nail of his index finger. Ripples covered the surface, and slowly through the ripples a figure of an animal appeared, the animal slowly crawled out of the dark water like substance. The animal resembled a dog, no further details could be made, for the animal was as black as the shadows which surrounded them. "Soon, soon my pet." The Emperor patted the dog like animal. It then spoke to him. "Valico, we need those heart stones if the process is to be carried out. The animal turned and lay on the unseen floor. * * * * * Alissa sat over on one side of the classroom close to the chalkboard, Jessica sat on the other. Their gym teacher sat up in the front going through papers. Jessica held up a piece of paper, written across it was 'I'm sorry.' A small giggle escaped the blonde's lips. The teacher looked up, Jessica and Alissa looked down at their desks as if nothing happened. The teacher shook his head and went back to flipping through papers. 'It's okay.' Alissa mouthed. 'I'm still sorry.' 'Don't worry about it.' Jessica looked up and here in front of her stood the gym teacher. She slouched down in her seat, trying to disappear. "Not another word." The teacher picked up Jessica's desk and turned it so she was facing away from Alissa. Alissa cleared her throat trying to get Jessica's attention, it worked. Alissa then held up a piece of paper saying 'I'm sorry.' They both began to laugh but stopped themselves when they saw their teacher glaring down at them. * * * * * 'Well this sucks that I have to walk home.' Jessica thought to herself as she walked along the sidewalk. The sun had already began to set. 'I might not even make it home in time for supper.' She continued along, she then felt a familiar presence behind her. She spun around to see Eclipse. The dog trotted up to her side. "So how come you were so out of it earlier today?" Eclipse asked as he looked up at Jessica with concerned eyes. "A dream that's all." "Do you want to tell me about it?" Eclipse asked. "Maybe later, I just want to get home in time for supper." Jessica said as she picked up her pace. It went silent. The silence was broke by a man's scream. "Now I'm definitely not going to get home in time for supper." Jessica mumbled as she pulled out her transformation medallion. "SOLARIS STAR . . . . . POWER!" Jessica then closed her eyes. The Solaris Medallion disappeared into many little orange and gold sparkles this caused her body to shimmer the colors of the sparkles as they fell onto her body. Then her silver tiara appeared with the red jewel in the center. The jewel then emitted a blinding flash of orange light that surrounded Jessica giving her the feeling of the bright morning sun on her body. Then a swirl of orange and gold sparkles warped around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bows came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Sparkling golden rings then went around her feet forming boots. Then more sparkling rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the golden sparkles went around her waist forming her skirt. At that point there was a large burst of golden sparkles that flew up into the air, when the sparkles fell to the ground Sailor Sun was then reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. She stood there with one hand across her forehead and the other across her stomach with her legs together. Her long red hair then blew to the side. * * * * * "Your not so cheerful now are you?" Kasumi asked, not expecting an answer from the cowering man. A smug smile went across her face, "oh how I love to see them squirm." Kasumi reached her hand down and a pink color surround the man's chest. A small pink heart stone appeared in her hand. She inspected it carefully, trying to decide if it was one of the needed six. "Hump, how am I supposed to know which ones to take and which ones to leave?" "How about I help you with that decision!" Kasumi swung around and came face to face with Sailor Sun. "I say that you leave all of the heart stones to the humans who own them!" Sailor Sun took her fighting stance. "I am the sailor scout of the red star the sun, fighting for all within the sol system! With the flames of the sun, and the power of fire, prepare to burn because I Sailor Sun will punish you!" "You never get bored of that same little speech do you?" Kasumi questioned. She crossed her arms, making sure the heart stone she held in her hand wouldn't get kicked out of her grasp. "No, not really. The only reason I say it is because it puts you off guard!" Sailor Sun explained. "And it seems to work!" She added with a little smile across her face. Sailor Sun then stood with her legs shoulder width apart. Her hands were at her sides. "SUN SOLAR FLARES ..... BURN!" Her head was looking upward. Then she put her hands out in front of her chest, her hands then began to glow with golden energy she then pushed her arms out as if she was pushing against something heavy. From each of her hands came two flames of fire. They spun around her body in a clockwise direction then went directly in front of her straight towards Kasumi. She barely dodged the attack, her blue wings had a few scorch marks at the odd spots. She glared back at Sailor Sun. "I warned you before, DON'T get involved in affairs that a child like yourself can't understand!" Her eyes began to glow white. Sailor Sun took a step backwards carefully. Kasumi fired a blast of white energy from her eyes. The red haired just managed to jump behind one of the shelves in the grocery store. That shelf turned to a mist then fell to the floor. Gasping for air Sailor Sun rolled across the floor to another shelf, that too was destroyed. 'What am I going to do?' Sailor Sun looked around the store for her foe. 'She is a lot stronger and much faster then I thought.' Another blast came directly at Sailor Sun's chest. She crossed her arms, trying to protect herself from the expected blast. She got flung up into the air, landing up against a shelf, which toppled over. "Now that wasn't hard now was it?" Kasumi asked herself. "Too bad, I was hoping to have more of a fight then just that. Child's play was the only thing that was!" Kasumi boasted. "If a fight is what you want, then a fight you will get!" Sailor Sun's voice could be heard over the PA system. Kasumi's eye darted around the room trying to find out Sailor Sun's hiding place. "Looking for me?" Kasumi turned around slowly, there in front of her stood Sailor Sun, her arms were crossed, and she didn't have a very pleased look on her face. All over her arms and her legs were scraps and scratches. Kasumi stepped back, tripping over the man's body, which she had stolen the heart stone from. She fell to the ground. She groped around at the floor trying to find something to throw, she felt a book of cereal. Sailor Sun dodged the box without much effort. She stood with her legs together, then she put her hands together as if she were going to pray. "SUN FIRE BEAM ..... BURN!" She closed her eyes and slowly lifted her hands towards the sky. During the whole time Sailor Sun's hair was blowing fiercely around her. There was a bright flash of golden and orange light which caused her body to shimmer, then a large golden fireball spun around Sailor Sun then turned and headed towards the almost helpless Kasumi. When it reached her, the fire ball spun around her a couple of times and each time the fireball got closer to her skin. Kasumi put her wings around her body, trying to protect her skin from the burning flames. Once the two flames died down Kasumi still sat on the floor, her wings were scorched black. She slowly moved her wings back to their normal place at her back. She looked up at Sailor Sun with furious eyes, she made her way to her feet slowly, still clasping the heart stone in her hand. Her eyes stayed locked on Sailor Sun. Then without warning, she fired shot after shot at the un-expecting Sailor Sun. The sailor scout got hit numerous of times in her legs, arms, and her chest. Falling to the floor with a groan. A smirk spread across Kasumi's face. She walked over to the fallen sailor scout, not worried or threatened by her anymore. She bent down and looked at Sailor Sun's lifeless face. Swiftly Sailor Sun kicked at Kasumi's leg and knocked her to the floor. She went down hard, Sailor Sun rose to her feet up quickly and stood over Kasumi. The heart stone had fallen from her hand and slid over the floor a few feet away. "I'll be taking this." Sailor Sun walked over and picked up the disregarded heart stone. Kasumi looked over at the scout, she reached up and wiped her chin, she looked down at her hand, blood. "You will pay for this Sailor Sun, next time I won't leave so easily. So watch your back!" With those words a mist surrounded Kasumi where she sat. Then with a blink of the eye she was gone. Sailor Sun stood alone in the rubble of the store. The grocer lay on the floor. The female warrior walked over to the man, she kneeled down and held the heart stone over his chest. It began to glow pink and slowly went back into its rightful place. Eclipse walked up alongside Sailor Sun. "You have to make me something that will make this easier, I could be attacked very easily while putting the heart stones back into the humans." Sailor Sun as she rose to her feet. The man began to awaken. "He should be okay. Now lets go." Eclipse said as he looked out towards the street where police sirens could be heard coming closer. Sailor Sun nodded her head in reply. * * * * * "Jessica there is someone at the door for you!" Jon came flying into his older sister's bedroom. Jessica didn't move from where she lay on the floor. "Come on Jessica, time to get up, you have to come down, your friend is here." Jon danced around her room trying to get his sisters attention. Jessica sighed deeply as she rolled over so she was facing the ceiling. The six-year-old looked down into his sisters blue eyes. "Come on!" He tugged on her shirt. "Alright, I'm getting up." Jessica said as she stood up. She yawned, then turned to the door. Jon raced down the stairs as fast as his little legs could carry him. "She's coming!" He called as he got to the bottom. Once Jessica got to the door the smiling face of Alissa greeted her. "Hi Jess, sorry to come over here, right before supper. But I just had to ask." "Ask what?" Jessica mumbled through another yawn. "Did you get to see that sailor scout? There was another attack, this time it was at the near by grocery store." Alissa's eyes were so keen. "Yup, did you?" "No." Alissa said sadly. "Hey don't get so down, I'm sure you will see her soon enough!" Jessica said with a reassuring tone to her voice. "Hopefully!" Alissa said as the smile reappeared on her face. "Jessica supper!" Jessica's mother called from the kitchen. "Alright mom, I'll be there in a minute!" Jessica yelled back in reply. "Well I should be off." Alissa said as she turned to leave. "Hey you don't have to go, I'm sure my mom will let you stay." "Oh and Jessica why don't you invite your new friend to dinner, I'm sure we would all like to meet her!" Jessica's mom called again. "See told you!" Jessica said with a giggle. "I hope you like potatoes and dumplings, I think my mom called them that." Jessica twisted around in the direction of the kitchen. "You having potatoes and dumplings! Those are my favorite's!" Alissa said with a squeal. The two girls headed off in the direction of the dinning room. Alissa seemed to have hearts in her eyes. * * * * * Jessica sat up in her room looking over her science notes when something interesting came on the television. The reporter's voice spoke. "Just earlier today the owner of this grocery was attacked by what he describes as a female gargoyle. As you can see this store has almost been destroyed. And would have been if it weren't for what the man called a Sailor Scout." Jessica sat up quickly and turned up the volume. "We have heard of this famous Sailor Scouts from Japan, but now there is one here in Nova Scotia. Who this mysterious female warrior is, we don't know. But we do have a security tape, hopefully it can help us with finding out more of this "senshi". Eclipse at that point had also lifted his head and watched the security camera tape, which played back the entire battle with Sailor Sun, and Kasumi. "There you have it, obviously this female warrior knows how to fight, and she calls herself Sailor Sun in her entrance speech. It is good to know that we have such a strong and beautiful warrior on our side." An advertisement for clothes came on the television. Jessica turned it off. "You hear that! They called me strong and beautiful!" Jessica cheered. "Now don't let that go to your head Jessica." Eclipse spoke in his calm manner. He stopped himself when he realized that she was no longer listening to him. She lay on her bed with a wide grin on her face. Her eyes glowing like stars. A breathy sigh escaped her mouth. Eclipse shook his head and went back to where he was laying before. * * * * * Even when Jessica slid into her soft bed and turned off the light and snuggled under her covers she was still smiling from ear to ear. Nothing could ruin her mood, not unless she remembered about the science test she had tomorrow. "Crap!" Jessica said as she sat up in her bed. She groaned angrily as she slid back down under the covers. She heaved a deep sigh and turned to her side. The mood had gone away . . . for a few minutes. Then the smile came back on her face.
