Sailor Moon Millenium - The Rise of the Stellar Scouts Chapter # 12: Part b - Class Trip : In The Name Of Capella - Created June 23th, 2000 By K.W. Isenor (sailor_sun_@hotmail.com) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kurai-ki starred at the three women before him with wide eyes. "How could this be?" He asked himself as he looked around trying to figure out what he had missed. Sailor Capella stepped up and with her hand she indicated the wall of vines to move back more. The three-sailor senshi stepped up boldly, they got into fighting stances and held their position. The four weed monsters were no longer a threat, the protective wall of vines had pinned them down, making them unable to move. "Like all weeds they have a short life span, and had to eventually die." Sailor Capella said as she snapped her fingers and the vine wall and the weed monsters were gone. The wall pulled the monsters under the earth's surface. Kurai-ki stared at the now empty space. "How many are there?" He asked himself out loud as he returned his gaze to the scouts standing in front of him. He spun his arm around and a powerful blast of wind arose, with it came more of the razor shape sided leaves. Dodging out of the way each of the Sailor Scouts landed at a different point around Kurai-ki, surrounding him. Sailor Sun stood in front of him, Sailor Pollux off to his right, and Sailor Capella of to the left. Kurai-ki tried to make a run for it from behind himself, but his was greeted with the smiling face of the Daystar Knight. "Getting scared yet?" The Daystar Knight asked as he continued to step forward, pushing Kurai-ki back to the center of the circle. "Ready girls?" The knight in gold amour asked as he looked at each of the scout in turn. When he looked at Sailor Sun he gave her the sweetest smile. Sailor Sun couldn't help but smile back and giggle a bit. Each of the girls nodded, Sailor Sun yelled out the signal. "NOW!" She shouted at the top of her lungs. The three Sailor Scouts and the Daystar Knight all jumped at Kurai-ki, punching, and kicking. They quickly forced him to the ground. Just as Sailor Sun was about to swing another punch at the green skinned monster Kurai-ki disappeared, Sailor Sun's gloved fist hit the ground instead of Kurai-ki's face. They all spun around trying to find out where the villain had gotten to, there he was flapping his wings high above the greenhouse, and in his right hand was the bus driver, and in his left was Dr. Sono. He smiled a smug smile and with his eyes he made the razor sharp leaves appear, along with branches. The Daystar Knight tried his best to cover Sailor Sun from the oncoming attack, while Sailor Pollux and Sailor Capella dodged the leaves. When the branches came they wrapped themselves around the two Sailor Scouts which were out in the open, they both fell to the ground hard no able to move. The Daystar Knight saw the branch as it came towards him. He threw Sailor Sun out of harms way and got trapped by the branch, which wrapped around him like a rope. Sailor Sun rolled across the gravel parking lot. She looked at her three allies whom were all struggling to get themselves free. She then looked up at Kurai-ki and scowled, but before she could say anything another branch came soaring at her. The Sailor Scout of the Sun was barely able to dodge the attack as she lay flat out of the ground, she could feel it as it went right over her head, her hair lifted up. The branch flew into a near by tree, it wrapped itself around the tree. Sailor Sun breathed a sigh of relief. Kurai-ki had moved to the center of the parking lot at this point. "What are you going to do now Sailor Sun? Two people to save, and only one you! What to do, what to do?" "Leave them out of this Kurai-ki! They have nothing to do with this!" Sailor Sun screamed at the green monster. "Ah but they do, you see, I can take their Heart Stones from them right now, then I will throw the bus driver her that tried to make me road kill to the left, and this doctor to the right." He paused while a wide grin spread across his face. "Two people to save and only one Sailor Scout standing! What to do?" Kurai-ki asked in a mocking tone. "Now Sailor Sun I will give you to the count of ten to decided which one you are going to save, the bus driver, or the doctor." Sailor Sun looked from the bus driver to Dr. Sono. She bit her lip nervously. "1 . . . 2 . . . 10!" Kurai-ki yelled as he threw the bus driver up and to the left side of the parking lot where he would land smashing through the rough of the large silo, and the doctor was thrown to the right side towards her greenhouse. Where she would collide with the glass, then falling thirty feet to the plants below. The red haired Sailor Scout looked at the Daystar Knight whom was trying to reach his sword at his waist. "He would never be able to get out in time, Sailor Sun thought quickly to herself. She made a mad dash to the right, she used a car as a boost and jumped into the air grabbing the Dr. Sono. She jumped down towards the parking lot with the doctor still in hand, she mumbled some words under her breath and then was instantly transported to the other side of the parking lot. She set the doctor down in the grass and quickly jumped up towards the top of the silo catching the bus driver. Once down on the ground Sailor Sun got ready to call forth the Sun Fire Saber. "I call upon the great power's of the star which is the center of the Sol system, bring forth the legendary Sun Fire Saber!" Her tiara then emitted a blinding light. She stood with her feet apart. Her right ahead of the left slightly. The Fire Saber appeared above her head. It hovered there for a few seconds then Sailor Sun reached her hands above her head and the Saber floated down into her hands. Kurai-ki starred down at the glowing Sailor Scout with amazement. "Ho . . . how did you?" He asked a bit baffled. Sailor Sun smiled and walked over to the Daystar Knight and cut the rope like branch from him, he breathed in deeply and slowly made his way to his feet. "Sorry for not being able to help you there." He apologized. "Don't worry about it, lets just get Sailor Pollux and Sailor Capella free then we can see to Kurai-ki up there." Sailor Sun indicated the monster that was slowly dropping to the ground. Sailor Sun uncut Sailor Capella, while the Daystar Knight uncut Sailor Pollux. "Are you ready Kurai-ki?" Sailor Sun asked as she stepped in front of her fellow Scouts and the Daystar Knight. "Well I don't know how you managed to pull that off, but I still have won this battle. For now I shall take those poor pathetic humans Heart Stones!" Kurai-ki raised his hand. He focused his energy on the bus driver, his Heart Stone soon emerged, it floated up into throbbing orb, then focusing his energy on the doctor her Heart Stone emerged and joined the countless others in the orb. "NO!" Sailor Sun screamed as she ran at Kurai-ki with the Sun Fire Saber in hand, she held it out so it would pierce through his stomach. Sailor Sun closed her eyes and thrust it forward, expecting to feel the sudden jolt. But there was no jolt, instead of being stopped by the green flesh of Kurai-ki she found herself stumbling. She opened her eyes and whipped around. She had just passed through a mass of swirling leaves and small twigs. She gained her composure and looked around. "Looking for me Sailor Sun?" Kurai-ki's voice could be heard all around them. "Well I'm off for now, but I promise I will be back another day. And that day is when everything will be put into place." His voice slowly faded away. The Daystar Knight came over and put a comforting arm around Sailor Sun. "We will get him next time, don't you worry." He held her closer and gently kissed her on the top of her head. Sailor Sun turned to face Sailor Capella, but she was no longer there. The two remaining Scouts and the Daystar Knight spun around trying to figure out where the new scout had disappeared to. The all spotted her standing onto of a car. Her long brown hair blew behind her in the wind, her skirt and bows swayed. "Until the next time that you need my help!" With those words Sailor Capella vanished into the trees, Sailor Sun tried to run after her but was held back by the Daystar Knight. Sailor Sun looked up at her love and understood. They stood there in silence for a few more moments then the class broke out into a cheer. The three soldiers turned around a blushed, they had forgotten about the audience. "Come on lets go." Sailor Sun led her fellow allies around the side of the greenhouse. Then in three flashes of light, one gold, one gray and one maroon. Jessica and Alissa quickly ran back to their class, but not before Jessica gave Kevin a kiss good bye and a small 'Thank-you.' * * * * * The ambulances had left and the class had been gathered they all took a public bus to the school. Jessica sat in silence while the entire bus talked about the three Sailor Scouts and the handsome blonde in the gold armor. Jessica would correct them every so often and tell them that he was called the Daystar Knight. Alissa talked with Britney, Brooke, and Lindsey all the way to the school, smiling and taking in the glory in her own way, every time she would hear the name Sailor Pollux she would smile and smile. The large blue and white bus pulled into the school parking lot. The teacher thanked the bus driver for understanding their situation. The bus pulled out of site and the class followed their teacher in through the front doors. "Alright everyone, I want you to call your parents and get them to come and pick you up, and apologize to them for being much later then attended." The teacher explained, Jessica leaned up against the wall, not really saying anything. Britney came over and tried to cheer her friend up. "What wrong? Are you sad because you missed out on all of the cool action because you and Alissa decided to be heroes and run to the nearest phone?" "Yeah I guess you could say that." Jessica forced a smile onto her lips. And let out a fake giggle just to satisfy her friend. She turned her head away and looked down at the tiled floor. Britney shrugged her shoulders and walked over to wait in line to use the phone. * * * * * Kurai-ki walked into the chambers of Emperor Valico. He hung his head in shame, for he knew that he would be punished for not only a failed mission, but for the rude attitude that he displayed before the Emperor earlier. Kurai-ki bowed with his arm over his chest. He slowly straightened, with his eyes he searched the darkness for Emperor Valico, but he did not find him, instead he found the beast. Walking slowly out of the darkness, just enough to reveal the dog like head. The beasts head was black in color, the fur was sleek and almost shinned, his ears were pointed, his small blood red eyes starred back at Kurai-ki. When he opened his mouth to speak, he flashed his sharp teeth, Kurai-ki wanted to take a step back, but he did not move and waited to see what the beast would say next. Silence, then it was broken as the beast spoke. "Emperor Valico is very angered with you." A pause of silence, which was slowly getting to the green skinned monster. "You should not be so cocky to your elders, Emperor Valico has helped make you what you are today, and he can take it all back." The beast explained. Kurai-ki nodded his head in agreement. The beast went on. "And another thing, you had better not fail again, or you will be in serious trouble, because a character which you should love, and which should love you, but neither do, will be coming." With those words Kurai-ki's eyes flew open, he clenched his hands at his sides so tightly that black blood started to come from his hand. He knew of whom the words the beast spoke about, he knew that he also didn't ever want to see the face of him again. The beast smiled. "I see that you know of whom I'm talking about, and if you never want to see him or hear his name spoke again, you had better not fail you next two missions. Because I will have no mercy for your poor soul, if you have one. I will call him forth, and let him deal with you." Kurai-ki gulped and slowly nodded his head, he was to petrified and nervous to say anything. "Now be off, and you had better plan carefully or I will have him down here in a matter of minutes." The beast threatened. Kurai-ki exited the room and walked down the dark tunnels, vanishing in the shadows. Behind him was left a small trail of black blood. The beast smirked in pleasure. He turned to the large mirror that hung to his left. It rippled and a figure appeared. "You will have your chance soon." The beast replied to the figure on the other side of the mirror, it's face was hidden in the shadows. * * * * * Jessica walked into her room, Kevin followed, Eclipse lifted his head from his paws, instantly he sensed something wrong. "What is it Jessica?" He questioned, concerned. "Nothing." Jessica said as she plopped down onto her bed, she put the pillow over her head and lay there, she suddenly felt the pillows smooth silky surface no longer on her face. The big brown eyes of Eclipse greeted her. "What is it Jessica, I have known you too long, and I can easily tell when you are lying. Believe me it isn't that hard to tell." He joked, trying to get a different response out of the red head. Nothing. "Oh come on Jessica, what is the matter?" Kevin asked as he pulled her up onto his lap and held her close to his warm chest." She sighed and did not respond. "Come on Jessica, you have to tell us, or we will just have to tickle you to death!" Kevin threatened. "NO!" Jessica replied, there was a pause, Kevin reached for her socked feet and began to tickle. "Okay, okay!" She said between outbursts of laughter. "Alright, I'll tell you what is bugging me." Kevin stopped tickling her feet, he smiled down at her. "Well it is Kurai-ki, he is hurting so many people, he is stealing away their Heart Stones, the very thing that contains their soul, their only ways of life, taken away from them." Kevin held her closer. Eclipse spoke. "Well we are doing our best Jessica, I know you always want to do the best in every situation, but we can only do this one step at a time." "Yeah I guess." Jessica said as she began to look at the big picture. "But that isn't all that is bugging him." She answered as she looked up into Kevin's eyes. "Well, what else is on your mind?" Kevin asked, running his fingers through Jessica's long smooth red hair. "Is it about that new Sailor Scout?" Kevin asked. Eclipse's eyes went wide at the words 'new Sailor Scout'. "What new Sailor Scout? When were you two planning to tell me this?" Eclipse asked, his tone was full of question, anger and delight. "I was getting to that." Jessica responded as she looked over at the dog. "And don't get all stressed out, it isn't good for a dog your age!" Jessica smiled and let out a giggle, Kevin also laughed along with Jessica, the only on not laughing was Eclipse, he glared at Jessica. "Ha, ha, very funny, and I'm not that old!" He protested. The ground had a little laugh then they all became serious one at a time, Eclipse was the first. "So tell me more about this new scout." Kevin stopped, then Jessica stopped. "Well she called herself Sailor Capella, she used nature based attacks. She had this really cool protection wall thing." Eclipse interrupted Jessica. "So this is the scout of protection and nature." Eclipse paused, and looked as if her were in deep thought. "So we have three now, only two more to go. So what is the identity of this new scout?" Eclipse questioned as he turned to look at both Jessica and Kevin. Jessica shrugged her shoulders and quietly mumbled. "We don't know." "You don't know? How can that be? Did you not see her transform?" He questioned, Jessica dodged Eclipse's angry eyes. She shook her head from the left to the right. "No!" "Nope." Jessica replied, but we can tell you what she looks like if that will help any. Jessica suggested, trying her best to get Eclipse to calm down. "Very well, but next time you run into her you must find out who she is." Eclipse explained as he sat patiently awaiting Jessica's description of the new Sailor Scout of protection and nature. * * * * * "Are you up here?" A woman's voice called from downstairs of a small apartment building. A female figure turned and looked in through the window of what appeared to be her bedroom. She didn't respond to the call. She turned back and looked up at the night sky, all the stars were out and the moon was shining brightly. She sighed as she heard the footsteps approaching her door. She looked back into the room from the roof in which she sat. The door swung open and a woman entered, she flicked on the light, the girl on the roof squinted her eyes from the sudden adjustment of the light. Her features of her face could now be seen. She had long wavy golden brown hair that went down to her thigh. She didn't have bangs, well she did but they are the same length as the rest of her hair. She had brown almond shaped eyes. Her skin had a bit of a tan to it. She wore the uniform for the Halifax Grammar School, she sat there on the roof hugging her knees. She a disturbed look on her face. She smiled meekly. "Why didn't you answer me? Rough day?" The woman whom stood in the doorway asked. She leaned up against the frame and crossed her arms across her chest. "Come out with it, what is bugging you? Ever since you got back from school you were acting oddly." "I guess you could say I had one of those days where nothing made sense." She calmly answered. She turned back out to the night sky and stared up at the different stars, in her min she pointed out the different constellations. "Come on, cheer up. The day is done and over with, you should start preparing yourself for the next day to come. You have to get out of this weird stage you have been in ever since we moved here. I know you miss all of your friends from California, but you have to make new friends here." The girl on the roof sat in silence for a moment, she turned away from the stars and turned to face her mother. "Your right, I should just get over everything that happened today and ready myself for the next day!" The girl said trying to please her mother. "That's good, now I'm going to tuck your sister in, why don't you come down in half an hour after getting washed up and we can watch some TV." The woman suggested kindly. "Yeah sure mom. I'll have a quick shower and I'll be down." The girl responded, the woman went out of the room leaving the light on and the door wide open, in walked a large Doberman Pincher. "Come here girl." The girl turned and swung her legs in through the open window and slid into her room, the large black and brown dog trotted over to the girl. The girl looked up from the floor to the dog. "What happened today? And why me?" She asked the dog quietly, barely above a whisper. She looked towards the door to make sure her mother wasn't standing out there, the dog did the same. "You became a Stellar Scout, and why you ask, it is because it is you destiny." The dog responded in a soft female tone. The girl let out another sigh and turned away from the dog. "This doesn't make any sense!" She said to the dog, she madly turned away and walked down the hall, disappearing into the washroom, slamming the door behind her. In the washroom she slouched down and leaned up against the bathroom door, she put her head in her cupped hands, and began to cry. 'None of this makes sense.' She thought to herself. "How can I be a Stellar Scout?" She asked herself out loud then got up and turned on the shower. "How?" * * * * * "Let's see, I think I shall take another trip to the hospital tonight, and see what my little blind invisible friends have gotten me today." It seemed as though Kurai-ki was talking to himself, but if you looked closely enough there were two shadows standing in front of him in a row. When the shadow like creatures would move the wall behind them would also appear to move, almost as if they were under water. If their body got caught in a reflection of light then it would shimmer just as though their body was a surface of water. A distorted voice spoke in a tongue unknown to man. Kurai-ki could understand it as if it were his own, in a matter of fact, it was his native tongue, but only the old spoke it now. The figure before Kurai-ki spoke. "More humans have been collected for your propose. Now you had better remember the consequences if you wait too low before taking the Heart Stone from the victims." The other stirred and began to speak. "So you had better hurry, you don't want to fail no do you? Everyone has heard about the calling forth of your . . ." The green demon put a finger to his lip to hush the figures before him. "I do not want to hear you speak his name as long as I have you under my control." He paused and looked at the two figures with serious eyes. "Do we have an understanding?" He questioned. Both of the figures made a gesture which resembled the shaking of ones head up and down, signaling their agreement. "Good. Now go, and remember never speak his name!" Kurai-ki shouted. The shadow like characters before Kurai-ki looked at him with distorted vision, they might have been blind, but they could make out moving figures. So when they looked at Kurai-ki, they saw his general form blurred, but instead of seeing the colors which he truly was they would see bright florescent colors. And whenever Kurai-ki would move, their vision made the movement seem like much more. They turned and walked through a close by wall, Kurai-ki watched as they vanished through the wall. "Now I shall be off and check out the hospital, he twisted around to look at the orb, you are almost full now, soon I shall have enough to make everything fall into place." He snickered and turned, disappearing in a swirl of leaves and small twigs, his laugh faded off as he vanished along with the small throbbing orb. * * * * * The beast walked over and stood by the mirror, the figure, which he had talked to before, appeared now Emperor Valico stood by his side. "I would like to introduce you to the most feared member of your militia." The beast introduced the figure, which stood at attention on the other side of the mirror. "He is the best of the best, and the most strongest besides you of course." The beast went on. Emperor Valico stepped up to the mirror. "I have heard much about you, and your connections with other members of my militia. I won't bother you with mindless questions but I shall ask you one." The figure nodded in agreement. "Will you be able to take out the Sailor Scouts?" Emperor Valico asked, the figure on the other side of the mirror laughed, his laugh was deep, it echoed through the room. "That would be the simplest task that I have ever had to take on Emperor Valico, and I would like to get out there and see more of this Earth. I will ready myself and shall be there as soon as you bid my company." The voice was deep and sent chills up the fearless Emperor Valico's spine. The beast turned away and walked off towards the small fountain at the back of Emperor Valico's chambers. He crawled into the murky water and disappeared.
