"On the Corner Of May"

The wind still clung to the branches so still

While the sky awoke with a day to fill

And the children all played at the corner of May

While the old folks watched the days pass away

She was left with a heart that no longer flamed

For it was stuck in a place with nothing to gain

She listened to the children, innocent and fair

And the old folks who sat without a care

For she knew that her life was going to end

And death came in the form of a long lost friend

Said he, not to worry for u will obey

And listen to every word i have to say

She watched from this hell while the old folks cried

And the wind now stopped and the children lied

Nothing was perfect or tranquil that day

And they went on with their lives on the corner of May
