At night I dream
I watch you move
Eyes slitted
A panther stalking prey
And from the way
Your eyes meet mine
In this ancient game
I offer myself to your touch
Turning to fire in your embrace
Knowing that as predator
You will devour me
But know also that as prey
I will not go quietly
Lines of blood created
By sharp nails drawn across
Expanse of muscular back
Legs twine around yours
Screams, pleas escape
From lips swollen
By forceful kiss
As two bodies move
Almost as though they were one.
Then coming as a shock
Sunshine falls across slumbering face
A groan, soft whimper
Nerves in body reaching
For your phantom touch
Dreams unfinished again
Hands run down body
Trying to complete
Actions left unfinished
When unsuccessful
Soft moan is heard
Thoughts of life's cruelties
Flitter through mind
Before rising
Shower's icy needles
That doesn't quite calm
Pounding heart
Expectant nerves
Or especially the longing mind
Wishing it was reality
And not just the dream
