JEAN BURR BRADLEY

Jean Burr Bradley

1 was born August 18, 1937, to Homer Boyce Burr and Avis Robbins Burr in a small community eight miles west of Natchitoches, Louisiana. My father was a Southern Baptist minister, and for the first seventeen years of my life, I moved often living in almost every section of Louisiana. From these experiences, I have an unusually wide and varied knowledge of people, their problems, their beliefs, their hopes and aspirations. I am able to draw from this reservoir of experiences to richly enhance my writing.

I hold a Master of Arts degree in English from Northwestern State University. I have taught English from middle school through university levels, and after twenty-two years of service, I retired from the public school system. More recently, I have worked as an educational consultant and program writer.
Joli

Two years ago, my husband of forty-one years suddenly died. Struggling to pull my life together, I began writing again. TRUMPET CALL is the product of that effort

Today 1 reside in metropolitan New Orleans with my sixteen-year-old poodle, Joili, who is my constant companion. 1 have three children and two grandsons. My interest include reading, gardening, and collecting angels and magnolias.

1 hope you enjoy reading TRUMPET CALL as much as I enjoyed writing it. I anxiously await hearing from you via e-mail or letter. I have one other published novel, SHAMROCK GREEN, a historical romance centering around the struggles for justice of a sixteen-year-old Irish lass in the New Orleans of 1835. The book is available through Amazon.com.
