Butler & Gabriel!!!!
I got Butler in June of 2000 when I decided to stay at home and go to
college as opposed to staying in the dorm. In fact, that was the
very basis of my arguement to get a guinea pig. I had explained to
my father that I would be saving him nearly 1500$ a semester and that because
of that, I deserved to have a companion in my room. He bought it,
and I purchased my beautiful Butler. She's a lovely short-haired
brown and black female, who loooooves lettuce. I tried a new fruit
every night when I first got her, but I have yet to find something that
she likes better than lettuce. She's so funny, whenever she hears
plastic rattling or a can of food shaking she'll begin squeling and her
little ears will flap up and down like she's trying to fly.
In September of 2000 I got Gabriel, my white and brown male guinea pig.
I dont have a very good picture of him because Butler always takes the
spot-light, but you can kinda see him in the above picture. He's
not quite as tame as Butler is, but I hold him quite a bit, so he should
get a little more tame in time. I hope to have guinea pig babies
soon :) I'll definetly keep everyone updated on THAT situation!
Gabriel doesn't make as many noises as Butler does, but he "purrs" a lot
more--of course he's usually trying to mate when he makes this sound, hehehe.
He hasn't been chasing Butler around as much, so I have the feeling they've
already mated--we'll find out within 2 months or so!
