If there's one thing I can't stand it's "religion". It's in the name of religion that so many people have been killed and hurt. It's by the works of religion that people become atheists. And, it's by religion that people find their way into Hell.
The one thing I do believe in, however, is a belief in Jesus Christ.
Okay, don't tune me out thinking I just contradicted myself. True, Christianity is a religion. And it's the religion that people get caught up in and get nothing out of it. So what am I saying? If you are "religious" (by saying that I mean you have the attitude of "well, I go to church, pay my tithes, etc... I am goin' to Heaven!") Well, if you have that attitude, you are "religious" and guess what - That in itself is not gonna get you to Heaven. (Granted, I am not your judge and can't decide for sure. But Biblically speaking, there's only one thing that can get you to Heaven.)
So then,
what will get you to Heaven, if religion won't?
A relationship.
Yes, a relationship with God, you being His child, and He your Father.
It's that simple. Kind of like ABC's. A - Admit you've sinned.
B - Believe in Christ (meaning, believe in everything the Bible says about
Him -including, and especially the fact that His blood is the only way
to heaven). and C - Confess. Confess your sins (things you've done
wrong) to God, and confess (meaning announce) Jesus as your Lord.
