Sasha is more of my mom's dog (as all our dog's have always been.) She has an interesting personality and quickly learns new words. For instance, we have frogs out back that seem to "scream" at night, and all it took was one time of letting her track down one of these things and referring to it as a "froggy" for her to go nuts anytime someone asks "where's the froggy?" and then, of course, she'll want to run outside and search the yard. As a puppy, I also taught her such tricks as 'sit pretty', 'roll over', 'shake{hands}', 'play dead', and 'crawl'. and of course she expects a treat after doing any of the things mentioned above.
When she was about three months old, Sasha tried to jump up onto the
couch but there was a coffee table in the way. She hit the back of
her head on the table then came down and hit her neck on the couch.
Falling down, she choked and died. We all went nuts, especially my
mom. My dad called the vet and my mom began CPR... the vet told my
dad that there was nothing to do and that he was sorry. It was pretty
scary because she was really dead! black tongue and all. but,
after a couple minutes my mom got her breathing again and although she
was really shaky, scared, and had vomited all over herself, she was alive.
The vet met us that night and gave her some meds to keep her well.
She's doing great now :)
