A star has fallen from the sky,
Its light no more will shine.
It stood in majesty for so long,
Shining to all who would see.
But at long last its light fades,
And the life within it diminishes.
With its last ray of light it says,
"Look, see, I am dying now."
A shiver goes through the stars
around,
The lights that have shared its
orbit.
With reluctant words, They
say good-bye
And watch in heartache as it departs.
But no others look, and no others
care.
What is one dead star among the
millions alive?
Its light fades, its heat grows
cold,
The star is forever dead.
