Hi, this is me...54 years old, mother of 2 daughters and grandmother to six grand children.

Tired of being told I was over-qualified and turned away from jobs which I was well able and qualified to do, I started to put my knowledge and my expertise at the disposal of an Association which I started here in the Australian Capital Territory. The Association is called Family Support for Victims of Paedophiles. Its West Australian counterpart has been going for almost a year more than we have.

In October 1998 F-S-V-P (ACT) Inc., lodged a submission to the ACT Law Reform Committee on sexual assault - specifically paedophilia. Not only is there no law against paedophile activity but there appears to be little recognition of the need to amend existing laws to incorporate the rights of young children as victims of this planned crime. Very young children are often deemed incapable of being able to testify in an adult court of criminal law, yet it is young children who are the paedophiles' prime target - children as young as 18 months to pre-teen (prepubescent children).

Pedorid and The Annex are my own personal project, dedicated as an anti-paedophile site for communities to access in the safety of their own homes, public libraries or wherever.... This web site has been posted in the interests of public awareness about paedophiles and how they operate. That's how it all started: a Paedophilia Public Awareness Campaign.

When FSVP in Western Australia was hitting brick walls trying to warn about the dangers of this proposed new Child Protection Services Register, I wrote a few articles about it and placed them on my web site. Then I invited Anne Ellis to place FSVP on the website. But that grew, too, with the introduction of the Child Welfare Amendment Bill 1998 into the Lower House earlier this year.

Again, running around in circles and the Bill already having successfully gone through two readings, time was running out, I started lobbying in real earnest through the Internet on FSVP's behalf.

Hey presto! It's if someone rolled back the magic carpet. All of a sudden our fight had gone world-wide. And that, folks, is where it's going to stay.

I've survived two offensives to get me off the Internet but it won't work - I've been in touch with Bigpond and as long as I keep paying my account they're happy, and I've gone overseas for the rest of the web sites.
