Shadowrun: Tabletop

For about a year after discovering Shadowrun (thanks Dave!) I ran a tabletop game out of my dad's house. I was, obviously, living with him at that time. The game was pretty congenial, save for two players, Dave and Kurt, who could just not stand one another. To say they rubbed each other the wrong way would be something like saying Hitler was a naughty boy. Dave left the game eventually. It was unfortunate.

At about that time, I started playing Shadowrun online. It took me a while to actually get there. The apps process was really kinda dumb at Shadowrun Seattle (still is, but typical of online gaming in general). I didn't understand the expectations and there wasn't any organized source of information providing insight into the specs, either. Still, I did manage to (out of pure love for the game) apply and be accepted, after only about six months of being standoffish. What it came down to was desire to play. Most of my friends had moved on to World of Darkness stuff, which was not bad per se, but didn't really have the flash and glitter of Shadowrun, to my mind. Anyway.

Oh, and almost forgot. Hee. The (in)famous TopCat story, redistributed here. Bob was a player in one of my campaigns, and wrote this BG for his character. I kinna liked it, though I've heard incredulity since. Makes John Woo look like a pansy. I'll keep it up until Bob gripes, I suppose.
