I think that this is a great series which you should definately watch! I recommend the manga as well. If my Chinese was better, I could possibly read my cousin's translated manga. I've looked through it and it started my interest in this series. Personally, I prefer the manga to the anime. It isn't as long (about 18 volumes). The anime had to add in a lot of scenes that were not in the manga and vice versa. Still, both are good.
