a few issues that everyone seems to have an opinion on:

::abortion::

i'm pretty torn on this one. i guess i'm pro-choice, although i don't think i could ever do it. i couldn't stand to think that i destroyed a human life, who wasn't to blame for my mistakes. i'd rather give it up for adoption. but i think it's vital for everyone to make decisions for themselves, not to have the government tell them what to do, especially when it concerns your body and health. i wouldn't want to bind others by my opinions, just as i wouldn't want to be bound by theirs. besides, if they were illegal, people would still find ways to get them, which would probably be much less safe.

::politics::

i've seen too many politicians on tv giving speeches that are so obviously taylored to appeal to the group they're speaching to. if i could vote, i wouldn't go democrat or republican. i'm more concerned with who will get the job done.

::religion::

i think everyone should have the right to believe whatever they want. personally, i'm not religious, but i am very spiritual. it makes me mad that although there's supposed to be freedom of religion in religion, that often seems to apply only to those who are christian or catholic. people will often tell me that my actions, ideas, etc are wrong because "it says so in the bible". i have respect for christians and what they believe, but i wish these people who keep telling me that i'm a sinner would get their own opinions. how can you judge what's right or wrong for others anyway? i think that "sin" is a concept that changes from person to person. what i consider to be bad or wrong is different from what many people think. if there is some sort of a god/goddess/divine being, i don't think that it would sitting up in the sky with a big book writing down everything you do that it doesn't like. i don't consider god to be judgemental or vengeful. my perception of god is as a life force that you can take from for strength.

::boy bands::

i hate them with a passion. pop music now is so bland and commercial it makes me sick. it's like the most important part is the looks and dancing skills of the guys in the band and their music is just part of the package.
