Andrea Bocelli is the greatest tenor ever!  Yes, that is only my opinion and I know others would disagree, but I know many that WILL agree!  There is just something about him that goes beyond his blindness... maybe it is his humbleness; he doesn't think of himself as better than everyone else like some other tenors I could name.  Let's not forget that he is a very good looking guy!!!

Well, any of my friends out there in the real world are going to say "Huh???"  My old friends know me as a Deadhead and my oldest friends know me as a metalhead.  I'm pretty sure that none of them knew I always liked classical.  But when I heard Andrea Bocelli sing for the first time tears came to my eyes (no, not because it was that bad... haha).  His voice has tremendous emotion and passion... something I have never experienced before... even from the so-called "greats."  Perhaps the only "great" thing about them was the size of their stomachs!  :)  I know I will hear it for that!

This was the first Andrea Bocelli concert I have been able to attend and I was not disappointed!  I wish I had been able to come up with the $700 for two front row tickets just so I could see him without looking at the bigscreen TVs.  We weren't very far away (section 109... which is straight across from the stage, a few rows above floor level), but far enough that you couldn't make out details.  Maybe next time I will have the money!  Anyway, Andrea had a guest singer with him, soprano Ana Maria Martinez, so if you look at the program notes I typed up you will know who Martinez is.  Well, if you are interested, have a look at what I have put together...
