I don’t believe in
the power of love
I don’t believe rock’n’roll
can really change the world
I don’t believe Ralph
Reed and what they want us to think
I don’t believe what
they tell me about the economy
I don’t believe in
the light at the end of the tunnel
I believe little of
what I see and nothing of what I read
I don’t believe the
grass is always greener on the other side
I don’t believe in
anything anymore
Politicians are liars
with their hands in corporation pockets
Television is worn-out
themes with new faces
Radio is three minutes
of nonsensical lyrics with the same beat
School is based on
conformity and who gets the best grades
Democracy is images
of greatness fed to us by paid sponsors
Health care is available
on to those on the A-list
Religion is grasping
in the darkness of an uncertain future
Prejudices are being
unable to accept in others what you see in yourself
Upper-level management
is reserved for those who could never handle the job
History is lies based
on the myths of aging white men
Nothing is real
Nothing is sacred
Everything has been
tainted by technology
