Also, some information within this site came from first hand conversations with L&C employees at the Lancaster and Chester Railway Museum. My thanks to them for their help. If you are in the area, I suggest you visit the Musuem. It is at the historic L&C Depot in downtown Lancaster and is open from March to November on the first and third Saturday of each month. Admission is free, though donations are appreciated.

I also appreciate the time Mr. Julius Crowell spent with me one day this past summer at the railroad museum in Hamlet, North Carolina. Lastly, I'd like to thank the people at Trainorders as well as my eGroups list, Carolina Rails, who have proven time and time again that I don't know nearly as much about railroading as I'd like.

I also want to send out thanks to the crews of the L&C and all the railroads I've photographed. It must be a little odd to be the subject of fascination for so many people. These guys are paid to do a job, to move cars loaded with the materials that make our life. They aren't paid to watch out for railfans and probably would rather most of us go away. But the majority of railroaders are courteous and kind, the exception being that guy on the local in Hamlet, North Carolina who, when I pulled to the side of the road to take a few shots of the weathered and worn ex-Conrail unit, stood right on the door and glared at me. To this idiot, I say no freaking thanks.
