OK, people, I in one of those moods. So you better watch out! There is a lot of bullshit circulating out there and I feel like shining my little light on some of it. I don't even know where to start. So let's start with our president. Actually, let's start with how the media portrays this man and his wife. Turn on Rush Limbaugh, Neil Bortz or anyone on America's Voice, and you're bound to get some elementary psycho babble bullshit on the inner goings on of him, her and their marriage. You HAVE to feel sorry for them no matter what party you belong to. Unless you're a heartless bastard. Which most Republicans are.

Look. I don't give a rat's ass how many times they have sex during the week or if they're even sleeping in the same bed. Why should I? Why should anyone? Unless you're Rikki Lake. No matter what you think of the man, he is OUR president. And if all the talking heads get on the airwaves putting the man down like he was an ex football star turned murderer, then why the hell should our enemies -- or our allies -- respect us as a nation? They shouldn't. We're becoming a three ring circus and they're laughing their asses off. You almost have to wonder when they will bring out the juggling elephants.

And now Hillary is running for senator from New York. Oh, I'm sorry. I think she's still on her "listening tour." Listen to this, Hillary. You have to be a little insane to want to jump from the skillet to the frying pan like that. Take a little time to relax. Get out of the public eye. I don't care where you live. Buy that house in New York that you can't really afford. Go back to Arkansas..... Wait. Strike that. Don't go back to Arkansas. I've been there. It sucks.

Frankly, what I'm saying, babe, is get out of the collective American memory, our psyche, for a little while. Because, I have to be real with you here, I'm starting to get tired of you and your husband. Now get what I'm saying here. The most liberal man on either side of the Mississippi hates to watch the news now or listen to much talk radio.

It's not all your fault. As I said above, the right wing media spends way too much time on your bank statements for their own good. Also, look at the man behind you. No, not the stiff, mechanical Secret Service agent assigned to follow you everywhere. But the stiff, mechanical man who we know as Al Gore. There is a backlash coming right at you now. And though you may be able to duck some of it and come out looking kinda clean, Gore seems to keep getting right right between the eyes. And I would hope and think you would want him to be the next president.

Anyway, enough on this. You do what you have to do. And I'll keep tuning the news out. At least for now.

Unless you're brain dead or are a teenager, you no doubt know that there are soon to be hearings on the Waco standoff. You know, they looked into this thing back in 95 and came up with pretty much whatever Janet Reno wanted them to come up with. Why should we expect to get any closer to the truth this time?

Reno accepted responsibility for the FBI's actions back in 1993. To some, it seemed like an honorable thing to do. To others, it was part of a cover up. It seems to me, however, that if she really accepted responsibilty for it, then she would have resigned her post. That's why I think it was nothing more than a political move on her part. By the time this investigation is over, chances are high that the next administration will be in place and Reno will be out of a job anyway. So I guess she got what she wanted.

The whole Waco thing bothers me anyway. I need to look into it and write a rant sometime soon. But the way I write rants, that may be a while. Anyway, next subject.....

Ah, George W. Bush. Or, as some people say, the next coming of Bill Clinton. Can you just feel it? This man has skeletons in his closet. And I would bet these skeletons dance. Probably the tango. At some level, I almost want this guy to get elected. Because then the Dems will have their own whipping boy. And you know the next Republican president, whoever he..... or she, may be, is going to get it from Day One. And I hope they get it right up the ass. What these people have done and keep doing to the Clintons is shameful. But these people have no shame. After all, they have God on their side. At least, that's what Pat Robertson says.

So, while we're on the subject of the next election, I just want it known that I am going to pay close attention to Bill Bradley. At one time, I thought me voting for Al Gore was pretty much decided. But Bradley deserves an open shot. No pun intended. When Bradley was a star for the New York Knicks in the 70s, I suspect he got a lot of open shots. And he'll need as many as he get to win this election.

But enough about politics.

P.S. It is now 9/9/99. And, so far, everything seems all right. No major crashes. No martial law. No Pat Robertson-led war against the Jewish New World Order/One World Government. Then again, the day ain't over yet.
