Gore in 2008?

Here's a thought that's bound to stir up.... well, something: Richard Nixon lost the 1960 election as the sitting vice-president, the first time that had ever happened. His defeat was at the hands of a political dynasty and was very, very close. Something like three hundred thousand votes separated John Kennedy and Richard Nixon. In fact, it was so close that Nixon thought of contesting it. Aides eventually talked him out of it for "the good of the country."
Everyone thought Nixon was dead politically. Even moreso in 1962 after losing Cali and giving his infamous "You won't have Nixon to kick around anymore" speech.
And then in 1968..... there he was.... arms raised in a V.... the dead laying in fields of maroon below.
Sorry, Pearl Jam is playing in the background. But the rest of the rant is legit.

Click on that very surreal Elvis/Dick jpeg for the story behind the famous meeting of the two. Proof positive that Elvis was a fucking nutcase long before he croaked on the toilet.
Image of Dick above the title used without COURTESY OF KUNHARDT PRODUCTIONS.
I forgot to check the particulars concerning the shot of Dick and pElvis. You can find it anywhere by doing a search for Nixon though. I use Google more times than not. Google may just be the proof I was searching for that God is alive.
Lastly, I looked for a decent image of Gore, something official and vice-presidential, but I couldn't find it through Google or Yahoo. Which may be part of the reason this election was so close to start with. No one felt like voting for a ghost.
The pont of this rant is simple: Do we really want Gore to be the spokesman for our party? At least, I think that's the point of this rant. If that's not the point of this rant, then this rant really has no point at all. Oh, March 31ts is Al Gore's birthday. It's also my birthday. But that's not the point of this rant.
