silly
little love poem: the stupidity of sentimentality (JCH -- 12/98)
i don't need to
dedicate no silly little pop song
on top 40 radio
or to write a gushy
sentimental love poem
to tell you the
way i feel
it is written in
my heart and shines through
my eyes when i see
you smile;
love should not
be reduced to elementary rhyme schemes
using simple words...
love is holding
hands walking barefoot on endless, empty beaches
love is a comfortable
silence
love is clinging
to each other tightly on cold and rainy nights
love is blindness
love is...
and thats all it
should be
