Hello and welcome to Drag Hag. Spring starts today at 2:55 EST, and you know what that means! New shades of makeup colors are blooming at cosmetic counters everywhere. Department store shelves are lined with shoes and matching handbags in such fresh colors as mint green, robin's egg blue, and, for the more daring among us, Schiappareli pink! Also with the warmer weather comes more revealing clothing. We can cast aside our heavy woolens and big overcoats to reveal that, yes, we have arms and legs! And don't you just love that fresh smell in the air? It makes me want to reach for a number of fresh fragrances that put me in the right mindframe. Some of my favorites are Leap! by the Body Shop (I use all the bath products that go with it - it's my favorite scent to celebrate the vernal equinox!), Spring Fever by Origins (it does live up to its name), and the new Happy by Clinique, with it's mixture of orange, citrusy and green notes. For the more sophisticated among us, there is Diorissimo by Dior, with its bouquet of lilacs, and a number of fragrances by Anick Goutal, including the citrusy Eau d'hadrien (my fave, and given to me by my now ex-boyfriend, so that whenever he smells it on someone else he'll instantly be reminded of me - hah!).

Anyway, I love this time of year. So get out those white shoes and handbags, try out those new makeup colors, and have a great spring!
