Owned by Todd and Tammy Crase, White Buffalo Rodeo Productions is rapidly becoming a major name in the sport of Bullriding.
About a year ago I called Todd, as a total stranger, and asked if I could come and photograph his bullrides for a book project I was working on. Todd informed me that I was welcome at any of his events. Since the first show I attended in Bethany, Missouri there has been no turning back. I was truly hooked.
The 1999 White Buffalo Production Staff
I have worked many places in my life, and have met a lot of people. But I have to admit that I have never worked with a finer group of individuals. Everyone from the production staff to the riders have been just wonderful to be around. If you ever need to know the true definition of the words "teamwork" and "professionalism", stop by and watch the White Buffalo team set up and conduct one of their events.
But, it is not all work and no play for this group. As I rapidly found out, they play just as hard as they work. There have been nights that after the show ends at 10:00 pm, they grain the bulls, close up what needs to be closed, and then head off for a little fun. They dont seem to care too much about getting to bed at 4:00 in the morning even though they have a show 200 miles away the very next night. I was not a night person before I got involved with this group, but that has all changed. I always seem to miss something good if I check out early!
Pull Harder!
Ever wonder what the Clowns do in their free time?
Hang on Tadpole!
I wish to send a special thank you to everyone at White Buffalo Rodeo Productions. They have made me feel like one of the family. And their kindness has led to many wonderful things happening to my career as a photographer. My only hope is that I am as good of a friend to all of you as you all have been to me.
