There are three rooms in the villa, so we're two sharing in each, and then Louise sleeps in the sofa bed in the open plan living area. There's a mosquito net hanging over each bed, but Ian and I take ours down so that we won't accidentally entangle ourselves in the dark of night, when we're too sleepy to pay proper attention.

The mosquitos aren't that bad, but then of course I've had much worse in Sweden. These are much smaller than the one's I am used to, even though they're just as noisy. A few days into our stay Ian gets strange big red bites all over his back and arms. Because of the size of the mosquitos we instead put it down to possibly something in the water, though exactly what we have no idea.

There has just been an earthquake in Greece. Even though Cyprus is quite far away, it's a reminder of the realities of possible natural disaster. The blue bathroom has cracks in the walls from previous quakes and so does our bedroom. And the front door doesn't quite fit in its frame.
