'One Night In Beechwood' is told from Karen's point of view, one of the leading characters in Beechwood.
You will begin to understand how she copes with the horrors which the night has to offer due to her past and present difficulties.

When Karen was a little girl, she had to watch her mother's pain as she suffered physical and mental abuse from her husband.  Sometimes he would turn on Karen, who at the time was only 9yrs old, but this would mainly be mental abuse.

Now that Karen is grown up the past still affects her mentally.  She has a hard time trusting and forming relationships with men.  She has lots of male friends, but she can never seem to find someone special.
Karen has had the chance though at settling down but the thought of her doing that, sends her running for miles.
She doesn't want to put herself or her daughter through the horrors of what she saw her own mother go through.

Sometimes she gets depressed.  She knows that she's loved off her friends and family, but sometimes she thinks that this is not enough for her.  You only have to read an extract from her diary
to get an understanding of what Karen is like.

Well, will she ever find true happiness or will she carry on running?
Why don't you find out?
