Frequently asked questions
(Q) Why use the pseudonym, "Milton
Pariah"?
(A)
Simply for anonymity. It's also
a reference to John Milton, English poet and scholar, best known for his
epic poem, Paradise Lost (1667).
(Q)
What are you currently studying?
(A)
My most recent project is currently in the works, which will involve a
2-dimensional study of the relationship between basic socio-political substructures and human emotional development. Look for postings on this web
site sometime soon.
(Q) Where do you work?
(A)
I have my own humble studio in Boca Raton, Florida. All the work
currently posted on this web site, however, was actually work I produced in
school. My independent works will be posted soon.
(Q)
Can I hire you to do commissioned work?
(A)
Currently, yes.

(Q) Are you still in school?
(A)
Yes and no. I'm still an undergraduate but am currently transferring
colleges. I'm pursuing an MA in the Visual Arts. In the meantime I'm
pursuing my own independent endeavors.
(Q)
What do you try to convey in
your short stories?
(A)
Each story is different. "A Diminutive Predicament" outlines the
notion I once had that throughout history there certainly must have been
undiscovered literary greats, undiscovered because of tragedy,
perhaps. The "Percy" reference is of course to Shelley. Overall,
the story symbolizes
an unrecognized writer's struggle with a pervading sense of ineffectualness.
"The Passage" is my attempt at writing a creepy
folk-tale. The tale basically is supposed to portray a fear of isolation,
mixed with elements of the supernatural.
"That Old Tree" is my attempt at a story with an
"environmentally conscious" message. The story is supposed to be set in a
post-apocalyptic future, and the shock of seeing a "tree", something that
actually survived the holocaust, momentarily captures the narrator's interest
(only to find out it's just the ash remnants of a tree after a nuclear
bomb). |
