What's my favorite animal you might ask, The choice is easy, doesn't require a task, You see my mind has been made up for years, As to which animal I most do adhere, It is not the fox, the frog or the trout, It is not a pigmy shrew or a bear inflicted with gout, It is not a goat, a crab, or canary, It is not a cheetah of whom you have to be wary, Cause if you're a zebra, he'll try to eat you, So stay away from him before he gets you too, It's not a waterbufallo or a duck-billed platypus, It's not a tiger, not even one that's "splendiferous", It's not an ostrich, a flamingo or pelican, Cause those birds are stinky and aren't even republican, It's not a dinosaur, though I have to admit, If they worked for the IRS, I would hate to have an audit, It's not a mokey or a chimpanzee, Cause they are unruly and more than a little stinky, It's not a crocodile or an armadillo, It's not a worm or a butterfly that's yellow, My favorite animal is the one I like most, It's my opinion, and I don't want to boast, But the coolest one both far and near, Is one that is about twice the size of my ear, Though if it got close it would give me a fright, Especially if it decided I looked good enough to bite, What is this animal?, I think I hear you asking, Well if you look outside, in the sun you might see it basking, Or gathering nuts for its twenty- four children, Or gathering twigs and leaves to line it's den, Or maybe it's just jumping and frolicking, Or playing tag with his friend, but you won't find him hitch-hiking, What is this animal?, do you still not get it, Alright fine I'll have to simplify it, It's a pink squirrel about the shade of Amoxiccilin, It's cute but not cuddly, it's cool, it's what's happenin', It's my favorite animal and that almost makes it enough. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
