Hank's Dividend Re-investment Program (DRIP) Page
What are DRIP accounts?
DRIP are Dividend Reinvestment Programs set up by approximately thirty-six major Canadian companies that allows individuals to invest in their companies allowing the Dividends from the shares to re-purchase more shares. Basically, DRIPs allow you to purchase shares commision free with the Dividends from those shares allowing you to purchase more shares.
How to get a DRIP
One:

Purchase one share of any one of these thirty-six companies through a broker or a discount broker.

Two:

Have that one share registered by the broker or discount broker.

Three:

Contact the trust company handling the DRIP account for the company you purchased the share for as and ask for a DRIP application form which you are entitled to as you are now a registered share owner in that company.

Four:

Complete your application form and enclose a check for as many shares as you desire to get your account off the ground. Send your form to the trust company involved.

THERE YOU GO! If you want more information, the best book to read is "Commision Free Investing" by Cemil Otar.
