Shrub roses, species roses, ramblers and
climbing roses ... this is the province of the
Historic Roses Group
It concerns itself, above all with the excellence of the rose as
a garden plant. Whether climber, scrambler, spreading shrub
or compact bush, the diversity of the rose in the summer
garden landscape is ummatched by any other group of
flowering shrubs for colour, form and fragrance.
This is what the Historic Roses Group recognises and values.

What are the benefits of joining
 The Historic Roses Group?

You will meet other rose enthusiasts and share their
knowledge, ideas, and love of the rose as a garden shrub.

You will receive, twice yearly, the HRG magazine which has a
wealth of informative and interesting articles.

You can join other members on tours of gardens in the UK
and abroad - in June 2000 we visited Germany, last May we went to Italy and next summer we go to France.

A summer programme of garden visits and talks is
supplemented by lectures and seminars in the autumn and winter.
