Esther began modelling at the age of 15.
Her mother felt that she had potential and took her to several modelling agencies.
She was eventually discovered at a modelling contest which she won and was signed up by the Take 2 agency.
Esther had originally wanted to become a private detective when she grew up.
She appears in the films 'The Thomas Crown Affair' and 'Torrente 2: Mision en Marbella',
and features in the 1998 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, as well as the 1997 Larios calendar.
In 2000 she won the 'Elle Woman of the Year' award.
Esther owns a fashion school in Calcutta, India called 'The Esther Canadas Fashion School.'
