The Counselor's Office
Having some trouble understanding the Klingon in your life? Well, luckily the problem isn't as bad as it seems. This following list should help you gain some insight into that complicated and sometimes hard-to-read mind of his.
Klingonisms:
- Klingons never bluff
- Klingons do not faint
- Klingons do not surrender
- Every Klingon hopes to die in the line of duty
- Klingons appreciate strong women
- Thinking about what you can't control only wastes energy and creates its own enemy
- Only fools have no fear
- Cowards take hostages. Klingons do not.
- The true test of a warrior is not without, it is within
But don't forget that your Klingon also has a warm and fuzzy side to him. Remember, Klingon love poetry is well known throughout the galaxy.
Involved with a Betazoid?Well, there's really only one thing you have to keep in mind to understand her:
- Betazoid women are full of surprises
In other words, just expect the unexpected and you'll be fine. <bg>
Do you sometimes feel that you're alone with your Trekdom preferences? Do your friends give you strange looks when you talk to them about your W/T obsession? While Net-surfing, do you sometimes get the feeling that Imzadi-sites have taken over the WWW? During your darkest hours, do you find yourself doubting the W/T direction you've chosen?
These are serious issues, to be sure, but do not fret. W/T fans may not be many in numbers but we are here. You are not alone. Worf and Troi had a rocky road towards their romance but they never gave up - and neither do we :)
For emergency relief, browse through the Lists of Reason:
Reasons why Deanna/Worf works better than Riker/Troi:
- Deanna has a thing for chocolate, not vanilla
- Deanna and Worf are already married with children - in an Alternative Universe
- Unlike Riker, Worf is actually capable of committing himself into a real relationship
- Deanna likes her man with long hair
Reasons why Deanna/Worf works better than Dax/Worf:
- Alexander
- Unlike Dax, Deanna didn't use to be a guy
- Deanna's interest in Worf isn't first and foremost based on the fact that he happens to be a Klingon
- Worf isn't big on words, Betazoids don't always need to hear the words to understand their men
- Worf is an extremely private person, he appreciates a woman who knows and understands the meaning of the words 'private' and 'confidential'
If you have more W/T reasons, please drop me a note :)
If your W/T crisis is extreme I suggest visual stimulation as it seems to be the most effective treatment available. For extra measure, combine this treatment with a hefty dose of chocolate and some rest and relaxation.
The all important W/T episodes:
Night Terrors Deanna saves Worf from himself. [ Thanx to Mary Wiecek for reminding me of this one :) ]

Cost of Living Who could forget that mud bath! A Fistful of Datas The wonderful holodeck adventure with Sheriff Worf, Deputy Alexander and Durango-Troi. Parallels Worf and Deanna - married!
