AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION
We both love going to fantasy/horror conventions where we get to meet some of the people we have grown up watching in films and on TV. Our favorite conventions are THE MONSTER BASH and THE CHILLER CON. We get to others but these conventions really cater to our interests. We've collected a large number of autographs at the conventions and we have a few of them online. These are all authentic and we got them in person. If you'd like to see a few of them, click here.
We also have some pictures of us taken with some of the celebrities we've met. While these may not be Hollywoods most notables, they are many of our favorites. Amoung them are the cast of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, wspwciall Bill Hinzman and Russ Streiner. We look forward to seeing them each and every time we go. We discovered that they have a passion for Lebanon Bologna. You can't buy it outside of this area so it's always a special treat to take some along for them. There's also Mark Goddard of LOST IN SPACE. No Chiller Convention would be complete without him. We also can't fail to mention Ted Bohus who helped save last years Monster Rally in Washington D.C. who kept the crowd at bay when everything, as usually, was falling apart during the opening ceremonies.
Special mention must also be paid to Forrest J Ackerman. Without Forry, many of us probably wouldn't even go to the conventions. His magazine, FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND, was a blessing to fantasy film fans all over the world. From the late 1950's to the late 1970's, Forry kept us updated on what was new and reminded us of all of the classics.
Perhaps the two most famous people we have met we Christopher Lee and Ray Harryhausen. Both hold a special place in our hearts and metting them was a thrill for us.
Bruce Crawford hosted a tribute to KING KONG in 1998 for the 65th Anniversary. Amoung the honored guests were Forry, Ray Bradbury and Ray Harryhausen.
