| Over the years, thousands of photographs must
have been taken of Carnforth Station,
and the nearby railway system. This is a collection of some of those
images. This
collection is roughly organised by time, but as it is difficult to
accurately date many of
the images, the display order is not "strict". In
2003, the Carnforth Station Trust made a public
appeal for old photographs of
Carnforth, and many of these have been included in this collection, but
there are probably
many historically valuable images of Carnforth railways, which are not
yet catalogued, and
if you know of any - or can correct or add to any of the
existing captions, please
do get in touch. This photogallery is not intended
to be "static"
and images will be added /
deleted as time goes by. Wherever possible,
permission has been obtained
from the Copyright owner of these
images to display them, and suitable credits given. If there
are any images which
you feel shouldn't be displayed, please get in touch, and they will be
removed / credited
as appropriate, at the earliest opportunity. |
