Attractive new zoo
and crocodile farm with lots of crocodiles, tigers, camels, deer etc. Several shows daily. Have your photo taken with a

Khao Kheow Open Zoo
Animals include bears, elephants, buffaloes, monkeys, snakes, barking deer etc. The key attraction is the huge aviary. This
structure covers over 100 different kinds of birds. Walk through it; it is wonderful for bird lovers. The newest attractions
is a night safari which includes a barbecue dinner. |
Lakeland Water Cable Ski
Located on Sukhumvit Highway (km. 150.5) about 5 km. from Pattaya. It's exciting and fun to try the cable water ski. Instructors
are available for beginners. |
Pattaya
Elephant Village The village shows elephant displaying forestry skills, playing football and re-enact of war
elephant parade. The village also demonstrates how wild elephants were captured in the north-eastern part of Thailand. Daily
show time is at 14.30 |
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden
The village is set in a 600 acre beautifully landscaped park. It features orchid nurseries, a cactus garden and a man made
lake. They have 3 daily cultural shows that include numerous folk dances, traditional ceremonies, sword fighting and Thai
boxing demonstrations. And of course, there is a elephant show. The village has "Pap Plueng" Restaurant with Thai and European
food, Chinese and Korean restaurant, Nong Nooch Kitchen, E-san kitchen with food from the North-East and a traditional "Beer
garden". |
Finally, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden have overnight accommodation in Cottages, traditional Thai houses and the Lake Side
Villa with a big private swimming pool. |
Wat Yansangwararam
A temple under the King's patronage is unique for its modern Thai architecture. Here meditation courses are offered for
common men at 6.00 and 18.00 hrs.
The temple is 12 kilometres south of Pattaya and only 3 kilometres from Nong Nooch Village. Nearby is a Chinese-style
building called "Wihan Sian" housing antiques and art objects from China.

Million Years Stone & Crocodile Farm.

Ko Samet
(
Samet Island ) Located off the coast of Ban Phe (about one hours drive from Pattaya), this island offers beautiful beaches
with white sand and natural beauty. You can rent a bungalow and stay overnight, or just go for a day-trip. |
Go-karts
The Pattaya fun go-kart racing track is open daily from 1000 to 1800 hrs.. If you want some serious practice, weekends are
best. The 400 m. track is suitable for adults and children with a choice of 80cc go-karts for the children and 120cc karts
for adults. Rates are from Bt.50 - Bt.200 for 12 min. of racing. Special discounts are available. A new 1080 m. track is
available for professional racers at the Bira International Circuit. |
Horse-riding
Located at km.11 on Highway 36, on the way to Rayong 3 km. before and opposite the Bira
circuit. Pattaya riding club offers horse back riding facilities on forests and highlands, with 16 horses which originate
from Australia.Horse back riding fees range from Bt.600 to Bt.800 per hour and transportation can be provided on request.

Motor racing
Bira International Circuit (Pattaya), Km.14 on Highway 36 is home to the motor car and bike community. Races are held at
weekends. Minibuses do the return trip for Bt.200 to Bt.300.The 2.4 km. track, with spectator stands, features events
for motorcycles, production cars; pickups and Formula 3 racing cars. Admission: Bt.80, Bt.100, Bt.120 or Bt.150 for regular
race events. Surcharge on international events. Membership offers discounts.

Waterfalls
There are three notable waterfalls in the province: Phliu Waterfall National Park about 10
km. from town; Krathing Waterfall in Khao Khitchakut National Park, about 30 km. from town;
and Soi Dao Waterfall in Khao Soi Dao Wildlife Sanctuary 65 km. from town, which is the furthest,
but the most beautiful. |
Coral Islands
A little way off Pattaya, there are 3 small islands well known for their powdery sand, colourful corals and other forms
of life under the sea, which can be viewed conveniently from glass bottomed boats. Thousands of foreign tourists have visited
these islands. The largest of them is Ko Larn, 7.5 km. from Pattaya Beach. There is a boat service running between Pattaya
Beach and Ko Larn several times daily. Each one way trip will take about 45 min.. Different types of accommodation are available
on the island. The other two islets, Ko Sak and Ko Khrok, are a short way from Ko Larn. They are smaller and quieter.

Ko Phai, Ko Rin, etc.
About 10 km. away from Ko Larn, these islets are even less disturbed and have become new destinations for tourists from
Pattaya. As they are under the jurisdiction of the Royal Thai Navy, overnight stays are not allowed. And visitors will have
to take their food and drinks with them. |
