correct when he said, ? when one enters the Karnak Temple, imagination fails.? Because when one enters the magnificent country that Egypt, imagination and reason both fail. Nowhere on the planet but here in the northeastern part of the ancient continent of Africa have human beings created such an impressive array of cultural artifacts, monuments, temples, and memorials.
Come with me to this historic land and see the places where the kings and queens walked, prayed, gave their blessings, and inspired countless generations with their deeds.

Begin your adventure in Cairo with an introduction to 3000 years of Egypt's earliest history at the Egypt- ian Antiquities Museum. In the after- noon, visit the famous Pyramids of Giza with emphasis on Cheops, the largest pyramid and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Continue to the Sphinx, the enigmatic 190-foot long statue, carved from one solid piece of stone.

August 04 : CAIRO / LUXOR The excitement is high this morning as you fly to Luxor, the capital of Egypt at its height. Check-in your luxury Movenpick hotel on crocodile island. This morning you can take an optional tour to Dendarah or you could just relax and enjoy the view on the crocodile island.

August 06 : LUXOR / EDFU Sunrise at Karnak Temple, then board the most luxurious ship on the Nile, Sonesta Nile Goddess, your floating hotel for the next three nights. Lunch is on board followed by Sailing to Edfu.

August 07 : EDFU / KOM OMBO / ASWAN In Edfu view the Temple of falcon - headed Horus - one of the finest examples of Ptolemaic art in Egypt. Sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple, which is dedicated to the hawk-headed god, Haroeris, and the crocodile god, Sobek. Continue cruising to Aswan, the land of Nubia, a town with the past stretching back into the night of time. Nobles of the sixth dynasty elected Aswan as their last resting place.

August 09 : ASWAN / ABU SIMBEL
After disembarking from the cruise ship you will transfer by a luxury air- conditioned bus to Abu Simbel Nefertari Hotel. In the evening closest view of the 3200-year-old Temple and statues. The great Temple of Abu Simbel dedicated to the god Ra-Horakhti, Ramses II labored 25,000 workers over a period of 25 years to complete this massive monument, it stands as one of the most prodigious feats of engineering in Egypt. The entire complex of temples was moved to its present location 90 feet above its old site to protect it from rising waters of the Nile.

Today you will return to Aswan and check - in your luxury hotel, Aswan Oberoi, Egypt's only island hotel. Secluded among the gardens of the Elephantine Island. Aswan name in the past was "Suene" , i.e. "market-place" was given to the island because it was a main center for the ivory trade. You are going to see for your self what's Aswan market has to offer today.

CANCELLATION POLICY :
A cancellation fee of $250 per person applies to cover handling, fax & tel. expenses.
?ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING?
Air : All cancellations of air space are subject to penalties imposed by the carrier
used. Cancellations of an air ticket is subject to a forfeiture of $100.
Land : No cancellation fee will be required if cancellation is received at least 60
days before departure. After this date, fees for one night accommodations
are required in all hotels booked.
Cruise : If canceled 60 - 45 days before departure : $100
If canceled 45 - 30 days before departure : $200
If canceled 30 - 15 days before departure : $300
If canceled less than 15 days before departure : Considered as ?no show? resulting is no refund.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY :
Karnak Travel, Inc., hereinafter referred to as the Operator, acts only as an agent in issuing tickets and/or coupons for the owners and contractors providing transportation, hotel accommodations, Nile cruises, or other services and facilities furnished, offered or provided. The acceptance of such tickets and/or coupons shall be deemed to be consent to the further conditions that the Operator shall not be or become liable or responsible in any way for loss, injury, or damage to or in respect of any person or property howsoever caused or arising in connection with such means of transportation or other services. The Operator reserved the right to make changes and alterations in the itinerary, hotel or sightseeing as may found necessary for the proper handling of tours. Additional expenses, if any, caused thereby shall be borne by the passengers. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time that passengers are not on board their conveyance.
If, for any technical reasons, passengers were not able to visit any of the sights, due to bad weather, flight cancellations, or any other reasons, a refund of the missing portion such as air ticket and applied entrance fee will be made at no additional cost or expense or liability to Karnak Travel, Inc.
If EgyptAir, the local airline of Egypt, could not accommodate passengers to Luxor and Aswan for any given reason or circumstance beyond control, the train will be used as substitution. Therefore, a refund of the difference will be given at no extra liability to Karnak Travel, Inc.
If passengers were subjected to a lower class hotel for any reason, Karnak Travel, Inc. will allow for adjustment accordingly. (Using the official Egyptian Government hotel price list), but at no additional cost or liability to Karnak Travel, Inc.
Karnak Travel, Inc. reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of the tour should such person?s health or mental condition or physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the tour and the rights, welfare or enjoyment of the other tour members. A refund of unused land tour services is the limit of Karnak Travel, Inc. liability.
Karnak Travel, Inc. STRONGLY recommend purchasing of trip INSURANCE to allow for any unexpected contingencies. Insurance forms are available on request.
