BRYC Condors

The Condors has been a consistently successful boys soccer team since its inaugural season in fall 1994 as an under-10 team. In ten seasons of play in the competitive National Capital Soccer League (NCSL), the Condors achieved the rare feat of climbing to Division 1 in minimum time with four consecutive undefeated seasons. In its subsequent six seasons of play in the top NCSL Division 1, the team has amassed a 38-8-7 record and two first place finishes, including an undefeated Division 1 season in fall 1998.
The Condors has demonstrated its competitiveness outside its league, also. It has participated in over 25 club-sponsored tournaments against teams mostly from throughout the East, with first or runner-up finishes in half the tournaments entered. As a U-13 team in spring 1998, the Condors won the Virginia State Cup. A year later, the team again proved itself to be one of the best teams in the state when it won the Virginia State competition of the Kellogg?s Bowl Tournament for U-14 teams. This achievement earned the team a trip to San Diego in July 1999 to compete in the Kellogg?s Bowl national championship tournament, where it won second place.
The team aspires to competite at the national and international levels. Its regimen of excellent year-round training and competition is focused on this objective. The team's strategic plan considers participation in renowned U.S. tournaments that attract the best national and foreign teams and hopefully foreign travel, as well.
