But wait a second! Were the no-fly regulations imposed by the US and Britain not supposed to protect the Kurds and prevent such a thing? Well, that is the excuse that was given. It seems the genocide by the Turks will be OK because they will be friendly allies doing it.

Is it not now obvious that the no-fly-zones were, and are, just an excuse to carve up Iraq and reduce Saddam's power and that no Western country really gives a damn about the Kurds?

The same applies to the people in the southern no-fly-zone whom the US and Britain are happy to bomb on an almost daily basis these days.
