CONSECRATED 5th FEBRUARY, 1889

Star of the Rand Lodge
Formerly, No. 71 in The Grand East of the Netherlands, it was the 1^st Lodge of that Constitution to open in Johannesburg, which was then little more than a mining camp,  after The Golden Thistle Lodge , (Scottish Constitution), and was followed by The Johannesburg Lodge , (English Constitution). The Founding Master was, W\Bro\J. Kincaid,
