Algolian Calendar & Measures The Algolian Calendar (Elaborated & Defined): Do to lack of much definition on the Algolian Calendar works, and with the little information published, this calender was formed that best fit the Algolian Calendar with availble data. Some elaboration and arbituary judgements had to be called in in the making of this short article/essay. All that is really known is in MZ, the Algolian Year is said to be 416 days long and 20.05 hours each day. Rimfire doesn't give much than the year and the year changes sometime in Episode 18, Event#22 where it is 1520 AY, day 57 and by Episode 19, Event#1 it is 1521 AY, day 368. Not once is the times told if they are kept in Alogolian or Earth format. Hence nothing to the actual calendar. Besides this, only data derived form Algolian orbit and Algolian orbital bodies make up the rest of possible data; just like Earth's orbital bodies and orbit help shape the western calendar we use. Example: Luna (Earth's moon), help to determine the months of the year with it's near 30 day phases. To Note: Their is much more issuses in making the our western calendar, but to keep things simple, this was what this author came up for a working Algolian Calendar we can use by using our western calendar only as a guide.Algolian Calendar:
Names of the 10 Months of the Year: Ten devides the days of the year in this easy format. The names are derived from Prefixs of numbers and the Suffix '(t)ember'. This keeps the names of the months familiar, yet different.
Days of the Week: Dividing the 416-days a year into 52 even weeks, makes the week exactly eight days long, hense eight day weeks. Since in our calendar this is one to many days to account for the names presented here, the same prefixes for months were used but now have the suffix of 'day'
Seasons of the Year: Apparently their is some sort of change in the seasons, but as always accounts are contradictory, so we'll use a medium. The same four Earth seasons do occure on Algol, but in less extremes. Winter does have snow, but it doesn last. However with the comming of the Ice-Age has winters now become longer lasting and colder than ever recorded. (Optional) The Algolian Measurments: Inspired by some Anime genres to provide their own measurements for weights, time, and lengths, Algol ahs their own too. I place this here only as additional description as to why odd measure may be used for us sci-fi, techno-anime geeks. Algolian Measurements:
